Damn it! Thanks for heads up.
Guess it's about time anyways, haven't changed my ebay password since 2004.
Already reported this here this Morning!
Glad to see the word getting out to everyone though....
I didn't get an email from them. Glad that I saw this thread.
I heard about this on the news. Even though I don't use it much, I've changed my password.
Man, feels like I'm perpetually changing passwords lately...
Me neither, which is kinda worrying. It's not like my account is unused or anything.
It's pretty shitty on eBay's part that we have to hear this from 3rd party channels and not directly from them weeks ago when they finally noticed it.
Haven't gotten an email from ebay
Didn't receive an e-mail, but then again I lurk ebay than actually buying stuff. :T Welp gonna go change it.
They are now posting the message on the front page.
This is very inconvenient and small-time. They are obviously "busy" adding useless "features" that nobody values and should instead start working on what's important, once again.
Man it's been since 1999 where is the password option on e-bay I got paypal already changed.
exactly, they were too busy adding a new "best match" type search.
But you would think a billion dollar tech company that's been around since the mid 90s with CEOs who graduated from university would know better in sending users messages via emails and/or via Ebay inbox asap once they knew about the hack. But no.
Mostly everyone knew abut the hack via news sites and/or TV, but Ebay was the last to notify everyone.
And I didn't know about the hack till yesterday in the afternoon when I tried to log into my account and wasn't able to for about 10mins due to high traffic of Ebay trying to get users to changer their passwords.
There are a good bit of useless bells and whistles these days.
