Congrats Chrome. I splurged as well and finally picked up the YM version of Starscream. It was a good deal.

 

Grabbed the movie orange Transistor for $110 shipped.

 

Have not bought anything, but baba now charges for shipping on some items. Dark days have arrived.

 

I wanted to get Hydra from Baba but I saw that he was charging for shipping and raised the price. Ended up going with another seller instead

 

^Careful CM, because it's all translucent plastic, that figure is super fragile.....

I bought one off of showz and it broke straight out of the package. They replaced it of course as their customer service is great. I left the 2nd copy in jet mode for a few months, tried to transform it and of course broke it again. I ended up selling both figures as a parts lot....

My suggestion would be to pick a mode and leave it there, don't flip it back and forth. Of course, I am a ham-handed fat-fingered oaf who stinks at transformations so my advice is somewhat biased.......

 

I bought a copy from Robot Kingdom last BF for $50 and both of the ports on the arms that hold the null rays broke upon the very first moving of the rays out the box. RK sent replacements and they have worked fine since; must have seized after assembly.

I’ve transformed my copy several times without any other issues but am always extremely careful when doing so.

My only other clear figure is Quakewave and the alternate arm piece that allows the hose to rotate from top to bottom of the arm shattered upon assembly.

 

Just my luck the auction I won ended 3 hours after the sale...  

 

Did you reach out to FT for replacement part for Quakewave?

 

Which seller? Which color YM Starscream?

 

I did; it was just a few weeks ago I decided to install the part and they advised they no longer have the parts available.

 

Acrylic plastic is notorious for that. It's why Lego probably won't ever tell you to slip a clear cone or cylinder over a clear 3mm pole. It's incredibly hard to take apart later because the plastic grips itself especially well and it's already a tight connection. And since we're not talking about Lego-quality plastic...

Glad I pulled the trigger because the seller posted more online and he raised the selling price. Demand is high.

 

I am curious to see if ebay will surprise us and throw in a 15 or 20% off on one of the 12 day sales. Keeping fingers crossed. You just never know!

 

I doubt it, sales in general will be up this month. Probably more likely a 15 or 20% off next month, when sales drop off due to being post holiday season, then maybe end of March/April for those who receive tax refunds.

 

Not sure where to post this but yesterday I noticed samsung pay has $75 ebay gift cards for 10% off. Not sure when it will end but its a pretty good deal if you're ok with buying up front now to get a discount later one with the ebay sale.

 

Gift cards haven't worked with sale codes lately.
