Hi all been lurking for a while but first time posting, anyway I did a faceplate swap on Animated Rodimus the other day and tonight I was playing around with some left over Construct bot Starscream parts and I just clipped them to Whirl's feet and I can't believe it works so well, I will have to paint them but anyway nice effective ankle tilt from leftover parts that doesn't look too bad IMO. The great part is they just clip on and off but mine stays in bot mode anyway :p

Also got a double ended clip from the same packet to peg under his arm with some 5mm styrene peg to give him a 5mm clip to hold things. These construct bots parts are very useful and I will definitely pick up more if I see them on sale. I had the feet around the right way at the start then spun them around backwards and I think they look much better with the flat part on the front.

Oooh... I like this. I like this a LOT. I have a huge tub of unloved Construct-Bots parts I'm going to plunder for a set of feet I like now. Thanks for sharing!

Great idea! Simple, yet effective. It got me thinking...while I don't have Whirl (yet), I do have some construct-bots parts lying around. I could probably use some of the larger pieces in a similar way to add ankle tilt to Superion and my bastard Optimus/Stunticons combiner... thanks for the inspiration!

You know what? I think I prefer the Starscream feet, they're the most MtMtE-ish. With his knees bent back, he starts to look a lot closer to his comic appearance. The Megatron feet (ironically) look quite nice too.

I like it. Great use of parts. I wish they didn't attach to the claws, because I hate the claws and want to remove them.

If you're looking for Construct Bots parts on sale, check Ross and TJ Maxx stores if you have them in your area.

Wow, that looks great. I'm especially interested in the arm mod. I could use something like that for my Whirl.

Doesn't look too appealing but I'm shocked that it works.

Hey, how'd you get the propeller blades to stay up in the V shape on his back?
