Oh wow, they really messed up with that Skywarp.

Yes like in Cyberverse. And the deco isn’t even close to accurate on the toy.

I haven't really paid attention to much. I always see the same five characters over and over and over. Hopefully the show is good.

 

I’m all for more female characters, but could you not, you know, genderbend Skywarp? Especially when Slipstream exists?

 

I hope so as well, it looks good and if it’s as good if not even better then Cyberverse I’ll be happy.

 

Definitely closer to a traditional Thundercracker than a Skywarp (though what’s even more baffling is that the toy is in SG Skywarp colours of all things).

 

Or any established character really.
Like, does Hasbro not know they have other fembots they can use?

That being said, toy could be a good SG Skywarp.

They haven't genderbent Skywarp. Skywarp was already female.

 

Would've preferred if it was Slipstream instead and that toy... how did they mess it up this bad. Oh well, happy for Skywarp coming out.

 

At first I was going to chalk this up to being a different deco because they’d already done a normal coloured Skywarp with the Cyberverse warrior mold (why bother doing one at all in that case, I don’t know). The thing is, the only Cyberverse Skywarp figure released is a clear purple repaint of the Cybertronian Starscream mold, which would mean this figure would be clear to at least have the deco resemble Skywarp’s on-screen appearance. This figure’s existence continues to baffle me.

 

Well... between G1, AEC, Animated, Movie, Aligned, Cyberverse... Only Cyberverse (and now Earthspark) have a female Skywarp. So one Skywarp was female prior to this while all the others were male.

It's fine. I don't care. I'm not buying that toy anyway...  

 

G1 Skywarp was canonically agender. Cloudburst said so! And so if they've ever been male or female since then, they've already been genderbent once.

one of the many incarnations of the deeply complex and developed character of "the purple jet" is the opposite gender in one show.

Well maybe I\'ll finish my Earthspark Elita one before deluxe one come to life.

 

I really really really doubt that the character of Skywarp will not be done justice just because they have black lips now.
