Actually VERY disappointed to see Steve Blum voicing Starscream.

Everybody else (as far as I know) gets a new voice except for him?

And he was good in Prime, sure, but his voice for him just doesn't suit a traditional-esque Starscream. And I really don't care what anybody says, it just DOESN'T, as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully he will at least do a different voice this time around to better fit this version of the character.

(I am loving the blue eyes, though!)

Very happy to see Breakdown (especially as a friendly! It was lonely with only Megatron) and hope to see his brethren and the Constructicons down the line!

RCS is absolutely fantastic casting for BD!

Naw, I meant design-wise. Prime Starscream doesn't even vaguely resemble the original Starscream, but Earthspark's does.

Not at all, actually! I never said I thought Blum suited that version either.

 

Steve Blum is objectively the best Starscream voice

 

Yeah, sure, but that doesn't make Blum's voice at all suit this Starscream design to me

 

So I originally felt the same way as the guy, in that they are robots and gender makes no sense for them. But when Nightshade showed up I was actually really stoked! It was handled well, and, well, I finally got what I wanted. Genderless robots.  


TBH, I never liked forced gender concepts in Transformers anyways. They are robots, “male” ones can look female, and “female” ones can look male. So why does every female one have to look like a super model when every other male character can look like whatever? Give me more fembots like Rosanna, Strika, Clobber. It’s their personality that defines who they are. If they are more femine, they can be more feminine, or vice versa. Their physical designs do not have to forcefully tell you what their gender is, and TBH thats just another label that stops people from being free to be whatever they want to be.


I look forward to see how Nightshade is written in the future, and I thinkt they have a deluxe in wave two?

 

Iirc RID15 wasn't even supposed to originally be a continuation, but they took that direction. Regardless, there's a lot continuity blunders so even I treat it as separate, honestly.

 

Oh wow tarantulas is the second design in the show that doesn't look ugly or boring.

Still isn't going to make me watch the show, but maybe is there's a decent toy of him I'll cop it in a sale.
