Never saw this in stores. It's been such a risk trying to find figures at retail that I just started buying online instead. Distribution has been ridiculous
I know most people will blame it on the pandemic, but distribution in lots of places has been getting worse since before that anyway.
If I didn't buy mine off Amazon.com.au I would never have seen one. We totally missed that third Voyager-class Earthrise wave. I would've been really unhappy to miss out because, for all the customs I have been working at, I needed about six Earthrise Megatrons. ~L~
Well, it is just ER in a better color scheme. I could do a quick write-up when I'm less headachy, I suppose. But overall he's a decent figure, apart from the fusion cannon not pegging in solidly and lacking a way to shoulder mount either weapon to improve the G2 homage.
I don't have any of the Earthrise remold but I think I would go for the G2 repaint. Its just more visibly appealing to me.
Soo i've had this guy for a while now and haven't really messed with him until recently but, has anyone's Megatron started yellowing yet? Or was it always like this? The pictures don't show it clearly but the plastic used for his thighs, neck and elbow joints are kind of yellowy compared to the other plastics. Maybe i'm just mad like Galvatron lol
I have 2, one on display, and one torn apart for a custom, sitting far away from any light, they both yellowed at the same pace.
Unfortunately, I think that's just the color of the plastic. I had the same issue, except the yellow on the thighs was incredibly noticeable, especially around where the two parts meet. I think the colors for the plastic were just messed up at the factory, because it doesn't have an odor or residue or anything. And I know that my figure was the second run on Hasbro Pulse, I got an order in right when they restocked.
I never noticed this LOL i left him on my shelf for a month or so, took him out then i noticed it did you notice yours out of the package? So it's also possible that it yellows over time?
I noticed it right when I got him out of the box. I assumed I could just wipe it off with a magic eraser and a bit of water, but it stuck on there.
Geez, it's also possible that existing stock and/or the second batch have started photodegrading :/ I'm just dumbfounded as to why i didn't notice it before because it's so obvious.
It was always a little yellow, but i think it got worse. The fact that I bought the two months apart also suggests it's not normal yellowing, so it'll probably only get a little worse then stop, and probably gonna affect the slew of them. In the right light you don't notice, but in the wrong you notice immediately
Mine has started to look like this as well. I looked at some of my older pics of my figure and I'm pretty sure it wasn't this yellowish when I first got him but now it's very noticeable.
Actually such a bummer LOL i wonder if siege Megs has the same problem? Yeah it's such a shame. Or maybe it was just something we never noticed before
Mine also started yellowing in the same places (noticed it just a few weeks back actually). At first I thought I was just looking at it from a specific angle where light was playing tricks on me, alas. I can't say how long it took but it definitely wasn't yellow when I got him. My Siege Megatron didn't have this problem.
Sooo i guess this may be a widespread problem? Hasbro/Takara hasn't had this problem for awhile now so i was very surprised this appeared so soon in such a recent line. I'm very tempted to parts swap with a junker siege megs
Hate to necro the thread, but is it possible to swap the shoulder pieces with Siege and ER Megatron? I was thinking that it would be possible to ditch the stupid sword if we used the Siege's shoulder, since it has a flip out piece that serves as the turret front.
I haven't tried it myself but it's theoretically possible since they share the same front half of the shoulder Edit: here's your answer!
Ooh, that looks good. My ER Megatron is already a frankenstein of Siege and ER, what's another few pieces?
