Looking at it, I'd actually picked up one of the OS KO Dinobot hands. It's just propped up under Zarak, so nothing clever really! I agree that, were he sized to scale better with TR Leader Prime, I'd be thrice as happy to have him in my collection.

I'd quite forgotten that his face was that colour in the comics. There looks to be no real danger of paint rubbing, so you should be fine. I probably won't bother myself as again, size-wise, he's too big to be that iteration of the character for me, but I look forward to seeing how it turns out!

I don't think we've seen the antennae moved to the back like that before. Cool.

Thanks so much for this - I remember being disappointed with Fort Max's alt modes, and those being saved by clever fan modes. While I was pretty excited for this guy for the Skorp and Bot mode, I'd written the base mode off as a bit lame. But in one post you've doubled my anticipation for this guy. Cheers!

This is a bit late, but I find it weird that you said "proper color" without context, even though the face colors are accurate to Rebirth and the toy commercial. Not everyone holds the Marvel comic as the "proper" depiction of a certain character.

I just figured he would do something like that since saucesmithco made a Marvel Thunderwing once before (the one in his profile pic). But the silver face in Rebirth was kind of the exception as far as (non-BW) Scorponoks go. Marvel G1, Energon, IDW, and FunPub all had yellow/tan faces.

One thing worth mentioning: the scorpion's rear section sags because of the weight. The only way to have it perfectly level is to mistransform the tail linkage. Scorpion won't roll as freely though since the rear roller won't really touch the ground.

Can you describe this mistransformation in more detail?

Had this guy for 2 days now and he's great. Really hope a 3p gives up an extra set of the double cannons, with moving barrels and his hand/claw gun and he'll be everything I wanted him to be.

Yeah, a buddy and I were discussing what all an upgrade set could possibly include. I figure a new set of cannons, rifle, possibly some bits for city mode like a crane arm and crap and maybe a replacement stinger with more articulation? Other than that he's pretty perfect.

Do the instructions or box give both the Titanmaster and Deluxe figures different names? Obviously one of them is named Zarak, just curious if they named the deluxe "MegaZarak" or something like that.

I haven't found names listed for either of them, but the instructions do list skylynx as astrotrain.

Yeah, what can I say, I'm inconsistent ;)  Promise if they ever undersize a KO of this, I'll be giving him a Marvel Makeover!

Oddly enough, can't find anything on either, but TF Wiki refers to the Deluxe as Lord Zarak and the Titan Master as 'unnamed'. Maybe call him Mortilus?

Once I get this toy, what I'm going to do is call the Titan Master "Zarak" and the Deluxe "MegaZarak", like the guy you quoted.

Only the beginning. Omega Supreme will let me link to Titans Return bases. From there I have a Shapeways adaptor to original Micromaster bases!

    1st- nice pics!
2nd- how did you get him? Mine is still on pre-order
3rd- in robot mode how tall is he? I am currently setting up my case to accommodate it.

Preorders dropped on uk sellers last weekend, so we've been getting them shipped out all week.

Scorponok is a freaking fantastic figure! Big, heavy, but not too big to be cumbersome like trypticon was in base mode.
