Might have to file down the two silver posts inside. Anyone else have this issue and successfully fix it?

 

I had the same issue. Just sand down the tabs and it fits perfectly.

 

I had that issue when I first transformed it too. In my case it was just difficulty lining up the post with the port underneath (it’s difficult to line things up when you can’t actually see them), and my own nervousness of applying pressure in case I broke it.

Second time transforming, it all lined up and it was fine.

So yeah, make sure it’s lined up right. If problem persists, maybe take the filing route mentioned above by other posters.

 

Thanks! I never even saw the ports. I’ve been way tougher on the parts than I should so far, and I know I’ve been doing so on borrowed time before I wreck it. I’ll work on it.

 

I know this is an old post, but just did this. File those silver posts all the way down flush. Get rid of them. It does not affect stability of car mode. They are in the way.
