Just checked in Charleston, WV. They had the endcap display fixed, but no sign of the 2 pack.

Six targets in a twenty mile radius in three days... Multiple phone calls... multiple false alarms and ghost listings...

Two helpful store employees (including a store manager) later..

 

No dice for me.

Went to two different Targets that both Targets site and Popfinder said had it, the first Target had the endcap, but none there, I asked an employee who mentioned that I was the second person to ask, did a search on her device, then called back to the stock room, had them double check, and an employee came back and said it was listed on the manifest, but they didn't get it, or if they did, it's in another box without the number on it. The second Target the guy went himself into the back and came back saying they didn't get any off the truck, he just checked.

 

I went in a few minutes ago and they were in the middle of a big toy re-stock. Popfinder shows they should have them now (but it didn't this morning, so they JUST got them) and they weren't being stocked. I left and will check again after work.

 

The person I talked to said they are going on a endcap with the clones and other TF items starting week of the 21st

 

Glad to at least see that they made the effort. I've been to some Targets where no employee would be that interesting in helping.

Just grabbed mine! Got lucky and called right when the employee was stocking up the endcap, and he gladly put it on hold so I didn’t have to go further than the guest service desk.

 

I lol’d at that. I opted to send my own personal Karen to pick mine up. Ha ha. Kidding...my wife picked them up after work...said they were just sitting there on the shelf. I just TF’d the dogshit out of them. They’re great.

 

Visited one of three Targets in my area, only two of which are showing them in stock online. There was no shelf spot for it, and no endcap, so I finally asked a very kind employee to check for me. She did, and no stock yet. So I drowned my sorrow in a large Frappuccino and some Olive Garden to go.   (Like I need an excuse for either). Anyway, it makes me wonder why it was being listed as in stock for that location when it clearly wasn't. Alas, the search goes on. I really, really hate store exclusives.   My biggest hope, aside from finally finding it in store, is that scalpers are having trouble finding it too.

 

Did they say which exact day, Sunday June 21st, Monday June 22nd?

 

Also of note — for some reason the DPCI is showing zero when I had stores check, and it was stores that I knew had them and that Popfindr showed stock of (including the store I bought mine at.) So not sure what’s going on there.

 

Since it's planned for an endcap, it might be on a dedicated palette in the stockroom, under a bunch of other palettes. It's happened before in my experience looking for stuff at Target(when listed as in-stock at Target.com and other inventory checkers).

 

I had a smooth experience this morning at a local Target here in Minneapolis. The set showed in-stock per the phone app, and a helpful employee found it in the back in five minutes. Good use of my lunch break!

 

Yup. Its just luck if you find the right store and the right employee willing to move heaven and earth to find one for you right now.

They’re not going on store shelves yet. My advice is to call 30 minutes after the store opens and ask if they can do a DPCI search. If it’s “somewhere inside the store” then you have to get lucky enough to be talking to someone willing to search for it and then lucky enough that they’ll actually find it.

Its pure luck, sigh. I had one employee willing to search for 15ish minutes but came up with nothing. A different store told me they’d search for it and hold it for me. And they did but the five other stores I also interacted with simply told me it wasn’t on the shelf or the back room or that they had sold out or that it wasn’t “there.”

Basically you have under 20% of success!

The biggest obstacle, IMO, is that these guys are not being put on store shelves yet. Once they are, then it’ll be easier. None of the Targets I visited had actual spots on a shelf for the set.

Lastly, remember kids...
Avoid the scalpers!
Be courteous to store employees!
And be safe outside!

Had someone pick a set up for me yesterday, but decided to venture out locally to save having to meet up with them (and I was bored). Gave em the dpci, had em bring out a case from the back, just as easy as when I used to hunt regularly.
