I forget what the original source of the first pics were....maybe those were wrong? Who even knows though. If I recall we went through the same thing with ER Prime when reveals showed grey fists, later pics showed blue, and then the first "reviews" showed grey again. And because of that the forum went on an extended meltdown about ER being a slap in the face because of price/inaccuracy.

I know we can't avoid promoting these videos because people are desperate for early info...but we should probably stop calling them "Reviews" or even "reveals" since often even the person who has it in hand doesn't know if it's the correct final product (or how to transform it correctly).

At best it's an "early look" at the figure, with the giant asterix that we have no idea if it reflects the final product.

If he is a Target Exclusive, he likely won't be cheap and...
They were official looking pics attached as a part of a Sale display gallery for Runamuck, and I believe he will get both guns because the one he's lacking here is the "proper" Runabout blaster shown in that photo gallery, and he still has the shown alternate head.

    Current rumors are target exclusive
Cobra Island was a bit of a fluke with a relatively untested line for a dead franchise. A better gauge of availability would be the seeker 2 packs, which while they were hard to get at first are now easily gotten

So do I need a Red Card or setup bots to buy it? I hope its NOT a Target exclusive. Rather deal with Walmarts 10 delay notices each week.

Do I keep my preorder for a second Runamuck to repaint or do I take my chances with the exclusive?

This x100. I know it’s a minor thing, but it bugs me when people say a toy was “revealed” when it’s actually just a single blurry picture of a stolen factory sample. “Revealed” implies something official, like when IGN revealed the RED figures. Someone stealing a toy and posting a blurry picture online isn’t a reveal.

I never had any issue finding the Target exclusives in-store, or for a reasonable price. As of the time I write this, the Target near me has three seeker two-packs that have been there for at least two weeks gathering dust, and 2 copies of Studio Series Ledfoot that have been there at least a week, if not a few days longer. The prior exclusives, the seeker trio, and Micromaster packs were at my Target for a long time before they finally sold.

The initial stock always sells like hotcakes, but the follow-up sits. At least that has been my experience where I live.

This is one of those times when you discover you've told on yourself for being a skim reader who misses key contexts.

What does "Target exclusive" translate into for Canadians again? Ebay only? or ToysRus and EBgames? I've still not seen TC and SW in stores on online.

Target exclusive I believe roughly translates to "pay double on eBay or hope you're awake for the 20 minutes or so it's available on Robotkingdom and pay out the ass for shipping" in Canadian

As great of a job as the TFCC versions did capturing these two heathens :) p), it just goes to show that a repaint/remold can only go so far.

I would think though, that if it's sitting around at Targets in the US, that there would at least be some window of opportunity for people to grab these up at a reasonable price. Yeah, shipping probably is going to suck, but I've bought and shipped things to people for cost before. I'm sure there are others that would do the same.

Also, sometimes it's helpful to relate an alternative experience. If all anyone sees that comes to the forum is complaints about being able to get an item, they may also miss the location context, and succumb to scalper pricing for fear of missing out.

And sometimes it's better to be a squeaky wheel if you want some service. I'm afraid your 'alternative experience' or perhaps more accurately native experience thinking is wrong, Target exclusives for us in the UK are often both of limited stock and often rather prohibitively expensive, the only time them "sitting on American shelves" helps us is if that excess stock is miraculously picked up on the Grey Market a loooooooong time post-retail if we're lucky. That didn't happen at all for either the Siege Rainmakers set or the Micromaster 10-pack.
So I'll stay vocal, thanks, and try get heard squeaking.

Oh, I agree, stay vocal. I was in no Way trying to silence you, just pointing out the “native” experience as you say. I did see the micromaster pack on clearance eventually. And if the glut of seeker two-packs currently here in Vegas is any indication, several other locations have multiple packs as well, they may also eventually see clearance. But yes, that’s a long and potentially unfruitful wait for those without direct access.
