Well, I suppose from certain angles it’s disappointing.
Apparently in the G1 cartoon, Ramjet had completely white arms (though he had grey hands, which this doesn't).
Whoa... the face sculpts on siege and ramjet. On. Point.
To be honest, I think I would prefer that considering that I will have them mostly on robot mode with a nosecone hanging on their backs.
You're going to have to get over that. It might help to know the whole point of a tank is to be a mobile artillery piece.
Well then it’s giant cone head or stubby nosecone like the “Classics” series. I personally don’t mind this compromise because the head and nose are better proportioned in their respective modes without a budget eating complex transformation or weird neck joint.
do amazon pre orders charge when ordered or when theyre in stock like bbts?
When theyre instock and ready to ship
I’m not one to complain about hollow parts, but those feet on the Prowl mold... dang.
But he otherwise looks great. I’ll be happy to have him.
Ironhide on the other hand... he’s the most Ironhidey Ironhide we’ve got yet and I have him on pre-order... but I would have been happy if they had done an Optimus level retool or new mold than this. Just not impressed.
I suggest Toyworld Hegemon.
When they're in stock and preparing to be shipped.
So, Prowl still has Bluestreak’s head then?
Apparently so. I actually didn't know until someone here brought it up.
I'd suggest this is a case similar to Selects Rotorstorm and the promo shots have the wrong head, but those Takara shots seem to indicate otherwise.
Looking forward to these. Pre-order both sets day one. Will be nice to have 5 out of six seekers already. Bring on Thrust. He's my favorite seeker.
I second Hegemon. Best Classics scale Megatron out there. Ill add that while Earthrises Prime is great, KBB downsized MP10-V is a perfect mate for Hegemon.
I'm not comparing anything to 3P at all.
I was looking at how the CHUG deluxe seekers, that the Earthrise voyager design is based on, have nosecone kibble but the the CHUG deluxe coneheads do not, because the actual alt mode fuselage nosecone becomes the conehead of the robot.
I just figured that with an extra 13 years of design experience under their belt, Hastak would have found a way to carry this bit of design over to this larger, more complex Voyager size figure... But they didn't.
I really like the overall design of Thrust.. his colors and his VTOL wings. I was looking forward to getting the Earthrise Voyager figure of him because I assumed he'd have a proper conehead and not a faux one, but now I'm not sure.
So ya, this has absolutely nothing to do with 3P comparisons. Go start a fight somewhere else.
I think you need to take another look at Prime, his transformation is entirely different, but then what should I expect from a reviewer
Phamduc is one of the reputable leakers on this site. He likely either works for hasbro or for the factory that these things come out of
don’t recall saying you specifically but no surprise since it’s always gotta be “me me me me” with ya
But Brawl and Blitzwing.
Think about it: where's the second Autobot Truck & Trailer? Pipes, Huffer, notwithstanding (no trailer; not Optimus grandeur).
Megatron gun was unique. It's what made him special (and goofy).
I think tank fans need to get over their fear of guns, since gun-phobia/political correctness is the real reason Megatron changed. The best new alt mode for Megs, imo, was in Prime: spaceship. That mode was unique, at least. Megatron needs to turn into something different that no other bot can replicate: it's symbolic of his power and leadership. Turning into another tank in the gang of tanks? Uber lame. Not getting over it.
EDIT: Cy-Kill. He turns into motorcycle. Is that the most dangerous vehicle for a leader? No. And it sets him apart. Tossing in 3-4 more motorcycle characters would be stupid, imo. But I suppose the natural thing to do is make Cy-Kill a tank?
