But Prowl is the star here, and that new smokescreen mold is worth collecting variations of. I watched a review, it fixed all my issues with the Siege Datsun mold.

 

don’t get too hyped. It’s very possible the “sled” is just turning it upside down and it’s an actual sled like arcee’s hover board. You can see the underside of it and there’s nothing there really but if it has 5mm ports you could add Siege ratchets accessories to make it look more like the original.

well..siege ironhide technically did already have a big accessory

 

They both look great! Some shops in singapore and taiwan already have the CH 2 pack

It really seems like Prowl is doomed to be disappointing from the waist down.

I REALLY wish they'd just use the Studio Series (car) Dropkick mold. It's got the hood-chest. It's got the door-wings. It's got feet made from headlights. It would be a PERFECT modern take on Prowl.

It really feels to me like G1 Prowl's design just doesn't work at a $20 price point. Maybe it's time to start thinking outside the box, Hasbro? Maybe modernizing your designs a wee bit?

 

Welp theres definitely going to be an upgrade kit for that ironhide. But other than that they all look great

 

I hate to be the first one to break it to you, but Coneheads have always had kibble. Parachute pants aside, it's still not as bad as the clunkiness of the MP-11 mold Seekers.

An enterprising 3P will probably make gap fillers. That said, I'll gladly take this new mold over the fiddly-ass Universe 2.0 toys. A prime example of over-engineering...

Genius move Hasbro....They've convinced me to buy what are essentially the same toys twice, and smile a big giddy smile while I'm doing it. Pure genius, lol. These look great! Can't wait to get them!!

I don't think it's a secret. Stoner dude on the reveal stream specifically mentioned Warden and how he was told the shield forms the sled.

 

Though Prowl has Blue Streak\'s head here, I still love the colors. Ironhide is great, still trying to figure out how the chest will work - seems it still rotates but also bends?
Do wish they followed the black forearms-fists for Ramjet, however it seems like for Masterpiece they use the cartoon colors.

The Classics mold had that too. You cannot just do what the G1 molds did and leave those giant wing parts on their hips in one piece. I much prefer the way these and the MP ones break up the wings.

 

Can someone PLEASE tell Hasbro, THAT is not Prowl’s head sculpt! That is a BLUESTREAK Head! It is really bothering me! Lol! I want to think that it’s a mistake but seeing these photos and other photos we saw last week, I’m doubtful. I realize the Seige Bluestreak had Prowl’s head but it’s really obvious when Bluestreak’s head is on a Datsun mold with Prow’s deco. I can’t unsee it!

although now that you've mentioned it, will definitely do a swap/repaint of this, unless they decide to throw in an "ER Smokescreen" with the exact same headsculpt, lol
