It's still good info for us here as it helps give us a rough timeline of when another reissue could happen. Probably safe to assume no Conehead reissue until Dec at earliest.

I wish the Rainmakers would come back to Target. They deleted the original listing as they did with Sunstreaker, etc.

Frankly, what with COVID and all, I know some will moan, but with Worlds Collide flying off shelves, reissues and repaints are salable enough to straight up to d reissues of Prowl/Ironhide, Rainmakers, and maybe all the SG/ER seekers. I think plenty missed plenty of them.

My guess would be the background image, but it certainly doesn’t signal anything to me.

I pondered over on the reveal thread if this was a tease of things to come, especially as it's Thrust and Ramjet (as opposed to Skywarp and Thundercracker, who I know were "dead" when Strarscream wore this get up, but since the art doesn't feel like the scene, it's notable that they didn't show him off with his regular "team") - they have teased upcoming figures in artwork before multiple times, would they tease an upcoming rerelease?

Or, Occum's razor, It's just the artist was informed and chose 2 seekers that made sense because of the point above.

(Or, Hasbro's just trolling us and twisting the knife because most folks couldn't get one or the other of the conehead sets :p )

Occam's razor, it was recreating the scene from the movie (minus Astrotrain).

Oh crap, I didn’t remember that scene being “indoors” (because of the way Galvatron arrives) or the coneheads being there, was why I thought it looked “weird” in the artwork…

The post you quoted was a response to that fact.

To reiterate, I wish Target could have these back since new runs were produced, period. Same with GameStop and Sandstorm, Spinout & Cordon, etc

You can still get Spin-Out and Cordon in the US. Most everyone else is sold out, but it’s pretty much regular price considering they don’t charge tax.

My point, target is irrelevant. They are no longer exclusive.

You're making my point. These are no longer exclusive, as Target and these other retailers have had them, so why can't Target and GS have them back again when stocked elsewhere?

This is not the same as Worlds Collide or Origins Bee, etc, unless they too get offered to EE and BBTS later on.

Because that defeats the purpose of them being released elsewhere? Half the problem is that people couldn’t find them in target or don’t have one nearby, so why would re releasing them at target help anyone when you can just give wise reaching online retailers a shot at them? It’s like the amazon coneheads, do you want amazon having the responsibility of dealing with that stock when they proved they will fail horribly at filling orders?

I don't see how you show it defeats anything. You're speaking from a customer perspective when, from a wholesale standpoint, Target is a bigger customer. Unless Target specifically says no to having these back, wouldn't any run be offered to them as well for the fact more units would be shipped?

I get exclusivity, and that some releases just won't appear anywhere else, barring Pulse, but these seem to no longer be exclusive to a retailer. That is, unless restricted restocking to some retailers is a new form of exclusivity. If that's it, then I could only assume it would create more bad blood than exclusive releases in the first place.
