It would have been awesome if the G1 accurate Ironhide based it on the toy.

 

You can joke, but red is more eye catching so it makes sense to sell the red one on his own.

 

Inb4 Thrust is Target Exclusive.

 

It would have been nice if he wouldn't feature parts-forming.....but only if that full transformation would have been elegant.
At Generations price point odds would have been 50/50 that the final result would have been less than elegant. Ergo; potentially fugly levels of shell-forming (remember AOE Galvatron?) or the transformation might have necessitated panel cuts at the most jarring sections, visible in altmode (remember CHUG Ironhide with diagonal panel lines all over his altmode?).

And besides, the shield on this Ironhide might be able to conveniently be stored on his back, who knows.

 

They literally detract customs charges for themselves, and never refund, even if your package is not caught by customs.

Still a toyline for kids who generally don't know coneheads from ice cream cones. There was no way they were going to release a three pack to mass market, and having one main line release surely helped justify the cost of the three remolds.

As for minimum effort, you have two remolds. That's not minimum effort. For minimum effort check out the Rainmaker pack - no remolds, no new paint apps, nothing distinguishing the figures in any way save the plastic colors.

 

I mean, yeah. He's basically the Siege Ironhide with the shell covering up the bot in alt mode. And that's not a bad thing. I always point to BW Wolfang of the perfect example of this works, and works well.

 

Waiting for the Seekers link. Wishlist or otherwise. Don’t really need the other two. (Now Ratchet, on the other hand...)

Is ER Prowl a remold or a new figure compared to Siege Prowl?

 

It's the new Datsun mold used by Bluestreak.

 

Prowl looks good, if I hear has better feet than his Siege version I might try to get him but I’m not the biggest fan of that Ironhide, will probably stick with his Siege version (same with Ratchet).

Like the Coneheads, hopefully they won’t be hard to track down like the Skywarp/Thundercracker pack was.

 

Entirely new mold. Just share similar transformations.

it’s still being released and getting easier to acquire everyday. I got one last week, only stores in my area of 8 targets and one week later I’ve seen them at all the targets.

 

What's wrong with that one? Before the siege one i wanted to get that ratchet and ironhide but they were always expensive
