But can he transform anymore or did you manage to turn him into a robot replica?

No, he can't transform. Honestly, it's not something I was worried about as I said earlier in the thread. I doubt I'll ever transform my robots...my plan is to have them displayed in dioramas.

Is it possible to have a proper gun mode in mind with this g1 accurate backpack in mind.

No idea, and I'm not really interested in trying to figure that out. If anything I may try and make some more G1-esque legs which will make him even more non-transforming. My main focus is how they look being posed, not their ability to transform.

I may, strong may, be more interested if he transformed into something more interesting/usable in G1...like the autobots transforming into cars for a scene. But honestly, even if I could transform him into a gun, he'd just lay there on his side or look goofy being propped up as this huuuuge gun pointed at an autobot.

if anything I'd prefer to print a 5mm peg transformed megatron that starscream or soundwave could hold and makes a lot more sense.....

Amazing work on this! I recently picked up a Siege Megatron & have plans to make him more G1. Might eventually pick up the ER Megs, but for now, I've been looking for another custom to get back in the game with......well, that & my decade-old Galvatron custom that fits in perfectly with these guys. Keep up the great work!

I couldn't find weather I asked this or not but would it be possible to put this up on shapeways for those of us who don't have 3d printers. Plus I still need to find this figure.

I took a quick look and shapeways wants like 24 bucks to print it out for those interested which is crazy to me.

It looks like you can choose to have it printed from within cults

The option on the right allows you to get a quote. Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.

This is awesome! I gave my "definitive" Megatron Siege's back treads since they had a smaller profile, but I would have done this if I knew about it! I might have to pick this up and get it printed out, see how I feel about it.

Try downloading the file and getting it done through Craftcloud or Treatstock - Treatstock's printer cavalcade seems to be cheaper from what I can gather. I got my G2 Megatron and Ratchet heads from a guy off there and they're absolutely ace from what I've seen.

Well, it's been a while and once I started getting better with using Fusion 360 instead of the program I was using I wanted to revisit this project so....here it is :)  I have completely recreated this project in fusion 360 and made a few enhancements and corrections. I closed the gap on the side as well as the bottom as noted in the pictures. All in all, really happy with how he's looking and ordered some paint from Amazon so I can finally paint him up.

I also have a Resin printer now too, so that's means the prints are coming out smoother.

Before and after of what the side looks like. I also angled the back in a bit so it's not straight up and down.

Hell yeah man! Your resin prints are looking great! Love the improvements you're making on ER Megatron. Really wish i could get my hands on a 3D printer myself.

Thanks! :)  Still tweaking it a tiny bit to see if I can eliminate the little gap ;)
