    Makes me laugh...

Toys they are supposed to be selling are sitting in the back, and have to be asked for an employee to bring out. Meanwhile toys that can't be sold are sitting there on the shelves.

    Oh the irony.

Walmart's website is now selling Doubledealer for $42.49, but it won't ship til September. Meanwhile, Hasbro Pulse is selling for $50 and ships in August. So is it worth an extra $7.50 to you to get it a month sooner? Or would you rather wait a month to save a little?

Wait. Always wait unless it's one of your most wanted figures.

Amazon was selling for $42 with release now until they sold out again. Now it’s just resellers on there.

Just talked to a guy on reddit saying his DD rung up without issue. Curious to see if maybe they're fixing the issue store by store

I think it might be store level really. Depends on management. The employee who took my called seemed to be aware of the issue

What kind of logic is that? They came with no street date sticker because there is no street date - this is 100% an error on Target's end. This is absolutely Target's fault.

FINALLY! I talked to the right people at Target and they realized that the stupid street date thing in the computer was a mistake. Earthrise Doubledealer is here! Yes, I have the Soundwave Spy Patrol Third Unit with Knok and Skar.

Unless my parents had named me after doubledealer, I’d wait. Used BBTS’s pile of loot long before they limited how long you were required to ship things on any schedule so I am used to waiting. Just gonna end up mixed in with 2-3,000 other figures, so it’s not like i don’t have other things to keep me occupied.

How long has it been available on Hasbro Pulse? I'd like to bite the bullet on ordering him but I don't wanna get skunked on a back-order again from them.

The thing with the Target 2-pack was that it was going to be put out when stores did their resets. Like, they weren't on shelves yet because the spaces weren't there yet.

And then by the time most stores had done their resets, the units had already been sold out from under them.

Every time this happens to you, email Target, talk to a manager, harass harass harass. Every single time and be as firm as possible. It's absolutely pathetic this continues to happen and after basically 2 years of this Target has no reason to get any of our business. The only way it will stop is either to stop shopping at Target, which I have basically done for everything but exclusives, or ream them every single time until they get tired of hearing about it and do something about it. It's the most nonsensical business decision I could think of for a retailer - don't sell stuff people want to buy just because you decided not to.

This reminds of the story of some TFW member I cannot recall being asked to leave the store by Target employees after acting like a child. Harassing store employees accomplishes nothing other than making yourself out to be a jerk.

Agreed. There is a fine line with being assertive and being an aggressive a-hole. When one collector misbehaves, we all misbehave. And it makes things difficult for us in the future.

Folks also gotta realize that a lot of these decisions are made on a store-by-store basis, sometimes by a single manager or employee. It's just luck that someone is willing to go the extra mile or is simply unaware of street date policy and you make your purchase.

I get the frustration but I think in the case of DD, the guy is not supposed to be on sale yet. Some folks got lucky. You might get lucky too but I think any frustration towards employees might be unwarranted in this case.

Plus, at the end of the day, these are still toys we're talking about. It's annoying that you can't buy it, sure. But it's not worth harassing a hapless store employee over a toy that you'll have probably gotten in a month or two anyway.
