When I started, that was something I wanted to attempt if possible. But once I started looking closely at it, I decided that I needed to focus entirely on bot mode because any compromises or additional sculpting introduced for alt mode would be really distracting in bot mode. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I will get this part shared for download and purchase soon! Here's a look at the evolution of the design. Despite it being a small part with very few elements, it was very challenging to get right due to all of the curves and the very limited amount of space to work with.
I'm guessing that it also helps with the shoulders snapping out of place when you move them? Do you plan to upload the files to thingiverse? that would be a great help. Great Job man
I haven't had problems with the shoulders popping out, but yeah it should provide a tiny bit of additional connection for them. The bits that extend back over the top of the shoulders are very thin and more for appearance (to cover the bit of windshield that's still exposed without them) than any structural benefit. I'll have the file up sometime this week, I'm looking at switching my files over to Cults so might end up posting it there instead of Thingiverse. I'll update this thread when it's available.
