yeah I'm pretty sure the reason there are so many exclusives this year is because we wouldn't get them otherwise. Look at the huge gap between waves 1 and 2 of Earthrise's deluxes. I'm just happy we're getting the stuff at all.

 

It isn't scalping, you'd actually have to try to sell one at a markup. That guy is overreacting. I'm planning to buy three and repaint the extras into (blue) Bluestreak and Silverstreak, and that's not scalping either.

 

They bought 2. It'd not like they bought a store's entire stock or something

 

There's actually not a whole lot more exclusives this year than there was last year

 

Guess I got to start checking my local Walgreens, I wasn't expecting this one.

 

Sigh.... I hate walgreens and target exclusives, at least walmart ones are generally pretty plentiful as are amazon, hopefully I can luck out or I\'ll have to get ...scalpped, I wish hasbro would give us a heads up on all store exclusives so we could be prepared 

 

Only 1 more so far this year (assuming all the galactic odyssey collections come out this year and counting 2/3 packs as one exclusive)

 

He said there were only two on the shelf so technically he did buy that store's entire stock.   On the other hand there are like three dozen Walgreens in the Louisville area, I think collectors will be fine.

I didn't even know Silver Centurion Iron Man was out until I walked into a Walgreens and saw two on the pegs.

Come to central PA and try to say that with a straight face. Super easy online? Sure, if you forget about having to be online at just the right time and lucky enough to dodge the timeouts, seven clicks is super easy. Yep, so despite the wave 2 delay, exclusives this year really aren't anything out of the norm

 

Which meeeeeeeeeans:

Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

Because there shouldn't be so many god-damn exclusives in the first place; and if there are exclusives, they shouldn't be any of the core cast of characters for DAMN sure. They should be weird decos and obscure G1 characters.

This sort of shit makes collecting in countries outside of the US near impossible, without resorting to supporting the $%^#ing scalpers.


At least 'Ratchet' made some sort of sense.

 

obscure characters as exclusives don’t sell. popular ones do and these stores pay a lot of money to get an exclusive and popular character because that will bring traffic into their stores and hasbro doesn’t want to clutter shelves with retools and repaints as much as they used to now

To be fair I’ve been able to get their exclusives in store or by app..but they are very random with availability.

 

Welp, time to start checking the Walgreens site, I guess. None of them near me.
