I like the Evergreen design but this is what we should have/should get.

 

The funny/sad thing is all they need to do if they want to use this Mustang is mold a new front as well as the back portions of the feet and most of the other parts could have been used and keeping the same transformation scheme and it would have worked and had given us something a little bit different but still appropriate. Well, that and a new head rather than a Smokescreen head repaint.

 

Hell yeah, I want this in Legacy with a new Mustang car mold.

 

So when is he coming out? I havent heard anything since this was posted.

 

According to JtPrime, the listings have been shifted from a December release to an “early 2023” release. I suspect the reveals are likely during January.

 

This is great. Probably the best G1-ification of Bayverse Barricade I’ve seen. I’d love a figure like that. Way better than just black and purple Prowl

 

Yeah, this would be perfect, or the Mad Max 1 Interceptor (pre-battle damage) but in a more traditional police deco. Until we get something like that, mine will have to do:

 

I really like the look of this one, (my favorite attempt is the evergreen version), don't get me wrong, but reshell either Jazz or the ER design as a Mustang, flip it so the wings can be hidden away, put a modified version of the evergreen face on it, and paint it in black and white and that's my ideal G1 Barricade.

 

I'll be the outlier, but I'd rather a new mold entirely. If it's a reshell and retool of the ER Datsuns I'd take it, but Jazz is too short. I actually picture this guy a bit taller (hence the desire for a new mold), but at least be the same height as Prowl, not shorter.

 

I'd want him to be a tallish Deluxe (Datsun height is fine) and to share tooling with a new Cybertron Downshift (and the Big Daddy repaint):

If he could get a separate vehicle mode based on a retro Mustang that'd be ideal, but I'd also be fine with him having the same car mode with just a new head and a lightbar instead of the exposed engine.

 

I don't care about Hound (although I hope everyone who wants him can get him), but I really want to see his alt mode. I just want a sneak peek for the superior Detritus repaint.

So looks like December was a dud. Now we wait to see what happens to hound and hatchet.

 

It's the one from ER Prowl (my Barricade was missing his, so I picked up a cheap Siege Prowl for the extra lightbar). It's made of clear plastic, but for some reason unlike in Siege, they painted the outside surface red rather than the underside, so I removed the paint using erasers and toothpicks (extremely tedious and your fingertips will be very sore; I didn't want to risk using alcohol since that can apparently sometimes cause clear plastic to become brittle) and then I just painted the undersides like should've been done all along.

I'm thinking because the next wave of Studio Series is basically a Q2 release. I'm wonder if the next few months would be the time to release Hound and Hatchet.

Maybe it wasn't necessary to contact JT.

But I was mostly thinking about maybe these next few months are a little bare for studio series, so that would have given opportunity that Hatchet and Hound should have been maybe the next wave.

 

Worse yet, they're talking about Barricade...
