    Those really are some spectacular pictures. It never ceases to amaze me how far things really are.

    That's beautiful. It makes you feel so much smaller and insignificant... knowing that all of humanity's problems are centralized onto that small little planet.

    I know the image is in part a composite because of the difference in brightness between the clouds, the sea, and the moon... I wonder if they're also separated by that distance in the original photo.

    I don't think it's a composite. The article states that they had a lot of work to do on the image to get it to look like it does. I'm sure they played with levels and stuff but I think it's one single image.
