Hello guys, gals and respected others! Just a quick preview of a project I'm working on. I'm converting Onslaught into Strika, with the addition of custom heads and new chestplate by fellow Radicon Quaternion. (Seriously, look Q''s stuff up. Ridiculous skillset!) Also added some junker parts for the rifles from Armada Ironhide, I think. Anyhoo, this is just a test shot to see if the cannons size/placement is correct, as well as the maroon paint (that doesn't look anything like the pics IRL, sorry....) I will be following her Animated color scheme for both Strika and Grand General Strika modes. Will be adding PE hands/feet to the mix soon, as well as an additional alt mode. Lots still to do, as I slowly make progress on the Leading Lady as well as her Consorts/Combiner limbs. With shaky hands and failing eyesight, I'm creeping forward, hopefully fast enough to stay interesting. Stay tuned, and thanks for stopping by!
Yep. As of now, if I can work out the details, Obsidian, Oil Slick, Airachnid, Slipstream, and possibly a reformatted (new at mode) Lugnut, and two alternate limbs/reinforcements, and a short bio. It''s gonna take a while, but I will get it done eventually.
Wow, that is a great start. Are you going to add the big wheels, or keep them small? If you go for the big wheeled look, there are large Lego tires, all plastic, that would work great.
I had actually thought of that, but I haven't found a workaround for the placement of the tires on the inside of her calves...
There are ratchet joints that turn 90 degrees. They would put the tires the the posterior of the calves
MINOR UPDATE TIME! Hello, All! After a serious health scare, (and other real-life issues intruding on plans- y'know, Murphy''s Law and all) I am beginning my second attempt at Combiner Wars Grand General Strika. After ruining my first Onslaught (due to hubris), I have decided to go with her Botcon color scheme. I have also abandoned the idea of larger tires (sorry, beyond my technical skills). Going with an ultra-flat plum paint, and have metallic base paints (not final) on Quaternion''s Shapeways heads. The paint is a an even color; the torso mode''s splotchy color is an effect of the cell phone camera. Anyhoo, I'm about to ship out for two weeks, so hopefully I can pick her back up in August for the next round of color apps. As always, patience is appreciated, and thanks for stopping by!

Hi, gang. Sorry so long without progress, finally picked up Strika and started to work again. Mock-up of Cybertron alt-mode (need to get some rare earth magnets), and a couple of her combiner mode, Grand General Strika. Still a lot of detailing to do, and I'm not sure if I will ever get around to her custom limbs, but I am happy with her so far. Thanks again for stopping by! !
