Looks pretty official/Hasbro-ish, if you ask me.

 

Oh god. That is...kind of frightening. It really puts it into perspective how drastically different that new Bee is from the old.

 

I'm glad that current design look better than this. Maybe there's somebody that liking this, but mixing curve and spike together didn't work for me.

Honestly this looks tons better! Hasbro could you please replace the current model with that one?

 

Wow, that looks horrible. I'm sure there are ways to incorporate VW parts onto Bay's Bee, but this just doesn't work.

That much being said, this appears to just be a mock-up, it probably wasn't ever considered as a final concept. You can see grayed-out Camaro parts on his legs. I'm guessing they just used this as a stepping stone along the way. I would be curious to see steps between here and the final design.

That explains what all the toys are based on.

But yeah, that's...horrible. There's just no synergy going on with the parts. It's so blatantly meant to be a recycled version of the old Camaro style body but with VW parts and is it trying to ape the original G1 toy with those legs and feet? Thank GOD TLK bombed and led to a total redesign into something far more pleasing.

I mean I don’t hate it, but you can’t seriously tell me that this looks better than what he looks like in the finished film. That’s honestly ridiculous.

 

Not really though. The toys have the same shoulder, lower arm, and leg, and feet design as the newer model, where this concept are has the leg shoulder and lower arm of the TLK model. The toys are based on the toy packaging art, which is later concept art but still not a final design.

 

After seeing the final design this one would never have worked.

 

Ew. Glad they didn't go with that one, very much prefer the design in the film itself.

 

Its just original movie Bee with Beetle parts slapped on.
