    I met Earl at Comic-Con years ago and he was so friendly and appreciative of my fanboy praise for his work. We became something of "pen pals" and he shared his experiences about the cool projects he worked on and cool people he worked with, and I kept contact with him through Facebook as well.

    He will be greatly missed.
