Could have sworn I started a 2019 e3 thread but couldn't find it in search.

    We start with bad news.

Is this the start of the end of E3?

And in their first official completely original "Sony Direct" they will announce their new innovative completely original hybrid system "Sony Bitch!"

To be fair, people bitch relentlessly when publishers do E3 conferences without any major new announcements and Sony probably won't actually have anything major to announce early next year. We already know their big first/second party titles for the next 12-18 months (Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, TLOU2) and anything we don't already know about is far enough out that it's better to announce it with the PS5.

I have a feeling that means that all of the upcoming games we’ve seen from Sony are the last of this generation then. They’ll probably finish out with Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding in early 2020 and announce some launch titles for the PS5 to come in the Fall of 2020.

I guess this means the PS4 is done once The Last of Us 2 comes out. I wouldn't even be surprised if Death Stranding ends up just being a launch PS5 title instead. Then again, at the rate the games have been going this gen, Death Stranding may be a PS6 title. :lol

Me neither. Probably won’t do so well if the ugly controller is any indication.

As for EA skipping E3, good. Their last E3 conference was atrocious.

Wow, now EA is skipping E3 too? Sure, their press conferences suck, but at the rate things are going, E3 this year will solely be Microsoft and Ubisoft, and who knows, they might not even do one either. I guess this really does go to show that the purpose of E3 is obsolete.

E3 as we know it is dead. Hail the Nintendo Directs! (And the other companies equivilant thereof)

Bethesda is going to be at E3 though.

It wouldn't be E3 without Todd's sweet little lies.

Hey, nature abhors a vacuum. Someone had to fill the disinformation void Kutaragi left behind.

Pretty sure Todd was lying before the PSX was a thing.

EA is actually doing something smart for once. Their conferences have been dogshit for years now even though they’ve had the opportunity to win E3 outright for half a decade now by showing Star Wars titles and Mass Effect when we all had hope that Andromeda would be a good game. Instead, they made us sit through 20 minute FIFA demos every year and talked all about how they learned from their mistakes only to make all new ones later on. Now, I know exactly when to tune in for the titles I’m interested in; which is only Respawn’s Star Wars game and EA Originals.

Bethesda has to nail this year’s press conference if they want to bring back some goodwill after the unmitigated disaster of Fallout 76 (a game that seemingly gets worse the more they touch it). I frankly don’t know what they’ll do though. They don’t show off games that are more than a year away from release. If that holds to be true, they pretty much just have Doom: Eternal (which will likely be amazing) and an as of now untitled Arkane game. They’ll have DLC for all their games as usual. I’d love to hear more about Starfield. If they want the good PR, they might tease it a bit more than they usually do, but I doubt they will.

I really hope that more companies don’t copy Nintendo Directs. That format just doesn’t have the same event like atmosphere and the editing is just too neat. Yeah they have tricks and scripted moments for live stage demos too, but you can tell a lot of the time if a game is running well or not.

So me Doom and Halo, then I’ll be satisfied.
