Nioh 2 was a surprise though
god i hate it when spiderman's rogue gallery are in robot suits
theyre animal themed man
that cant... be it right
Wait...so that was it then?
EDIT: Yep, that was it. That conference petered out quick.
how did microsoft beat sony
Spider-man looks fun.
Spidy and RE2 is about it for me.
He did show gameplay. Any time it was exploration, it was gameplay.
Hopefully Sony learns from this and never does this intermission shit again.
Sony gets a 7/10 from me. Spider-Man, TLOU2, and Nioh 2!
Was hoping for more. Atm it just seems to be selling itself on Kojima quirk and actors.
i cant believe they didnt show tetris gameplay
save us nintendo
Kojima is going to show up soon, so maybe he'll have more.
That Sony one was one of the worst E3 pressers of all time.
Not as bad as EA... but damn close.
I thought it was better than the rest, by a decent margin.
My biggest disappointment is the fact that FROM's second exclusive is apparently a stupid VR game.
Sorry.. I will argue that it was not better than MSes.
Only game I cared about from that was SDT, which wasn't an exclusive. Nioh 2, Samurai game, LoU2, Death Stranding all look good to me.
Overall, it's been a poor E3, so when I am saying that Sony's was the best, that's not a high praise.
All right, so over all I have some really mixed feelings on the Sony conference. It started out strong with some really intense footage from The Last of Us 2. So much so that I don't need to see anything else from the game, I am good. Just give me a release estimation and I'll be happy. I also loved how they had the presentation room designed like the church from the game.
Then it fell apart with the intermission thing, especially when it started showing us generic commericals and talking about Call of Duty. Oh, and I guess God of War doesn't have a New Game+? Did not know that. That seems dumb. New Game + is like a duh in 2018.
Then when the show came back from its boring ass intermission things got moving. Never heard of that Ghost of Tsushuma before. I was a little disappointed because I thought it was a new Onimusha game but the game looks pretty cool, especially the fight in front of the sunset.
The Resident Evil 2 remake floored me. On one hand, I'm super excited and that trailer was the highlight for me of the conference. YET, I'm a little hesistant because I'm expecting it to end up playing like RE6 or RE7 rather than REmake. I hope I am wrong.
Still have no fucking clue what Death Stranding is about or why everyone is cheering for a game that they know next to nothing about. That video told us nothing about what type of game it is. Is it stealth? Is it action? Is it a shooter? Is it a walking simulator? Is it just a giant QTE game? WHAT IS IT?!
Nice to see that even the conference audience was like, "WTF?" for that stupid looking game from the Rick & Morty people.
Finally, Spider-Man looks down right insane! Loved every moment they showed. So much variety in just that one chase sequence. Oh this game is going to be good.
With that said, I'm disappointed they didn't show jack shit for Red Dead Redemption 2, Final Fantasy VII remake (meaning it is at least 5 more years away), a new Legacy of Kain game (come on people, it's been too fucking long!), a new Onimusha, or even on confirmed games like Hitman 2.
Overall, Sony's conference had some great showings, but their experiment failed. I give them a 7/10 and have to say that Microsoft had a tighter conference, which I never thought would happen. Then again, this entire thing screams, "This is the end of this gaming generation," so I geuss that is to be expected. I have no expectations for Nintendo tomorrow given how much their directs have sucked over the last few years.
Wow what a awful direct sony had. Gory also! Guess Disney xd won't air most of this on their e3 show they have been doing all week. Thing that made me laugh was they went from the adult rick and morty type game to Donald duck!
Next year they need to drop the "move from one place to the other" and 30 min trailers and go back to the classic format! Maybe do a treehouse type show then show the 30 min gameplay!
MS was okay. A bit boring but not offensively bad. MS's biggest problem is continuing in that they just plain didn't invest in new IPs this gen and don't seem to realize that 2005 was over 10 years ago. Gears and Halo? Really?
This Sony conference had RE2 remake, which was great but the conference itself was handled so poorly, so little content, weird intermission. Spiderman looks good, but I'm already digging it. I'm guessing Sony is holding a lot back for the PS5 conference next year.
Nintendo I'm not expecting much unless they were to bring out some 2019/2020 titles.
LOL @ E3 when my most anticipated games are literally a campy mech game that was released on the original Xbox in 2004 a remake of Resident Evil 2.... Cyberpunk 2070 I'm sure will be excellent, but I need me some gameplay. Honorable mention to Metro Exodus, and that Zelda ripoff with a fox.
The last of us part 2
Ghost of Tsushima
Resident Evil 2
Kingdom Hearts 3
I'm getting these
And now I sleep and hope to hear some good stuff from Nintendo tomorrow morning.
