Anthem looks great. But will they fuck it up again? Only time will tell... please let be great! Feels like a mix of Destiny, Titanfall, and Mass Effect to me.
Code Vein, Last Night, Ori and Anthem were the only interesting things there for me. Anthem looked very promising. Everything else was pretty meh. Didn't see any exclusives that interest me. They kept saying 4K for the X but only mentioned frame rate for Forza. Guess '4K' is good for marketing.
I'm going to give Microsoft's conference a solid B. I thought it was a pretty good presentation, but I don't think it was necessarily good for them. There really weren't a lot of true AAA exclusives (by the way is Metro like a timed exclusive?) even though I liked a lot of what they had to show. Indie stuff was fairly interesting too. Highlights: -Assassin's Creed: Origins is a game I've wanted to see for years, and it looks like it will live up to my expectations. The gameplay looks great, and the setting is not only fresh but also one of my favorite historical eras. The story is also showcasing a very significant moment in the history of the Assassin-Templar War (primarily because it's the start of it). The combat looked improved, and the animal boss fights looked awesome. Game of the show so far for me. -Middle Earth: Shadow of War is another game I am super excited for. I feel like the story trailer they released a few days ago was better, but I'll take this too. -I had no idea Metro: Exodus was coming, and it looks like the series has made a huge leap. The previous games never looked bad, but I never would have described them as a technical showcase like this -Cuphead finally has a release date -The Last Night looked very interesting to me with its vibrant 80's neon colors and detailed backgrounds with pixelated characters -I'm concerned with the multiple delays, but I think Crackdown could be a lot of fun in the same way the Just Cause series has become -I'm a car guy, so I loved the reveal of the new Porsche On the fence about: -I'm still not as sold on Anthem as I want to be. I love Bioware Edmonton, but this just doesn't feel as fresh as I want it to. Also, Destiny comparisons are not inspiring when you're owned by EA. I did love aspects of the gameplay though, and the sort of Avatar world was nice -Sea of Thieves. Come on Rare. I know you can do better. It doesn't look bad, but it also looks like I would get bored with it Lowlights: -Not a lot of true exclusives - That guy commenting on that multiplayer death match game like it's a soccer game -4K Minecraft was not necessary
I list all the games I'm interested in my notebook. Here are a few: Cuphead (release date marked on my calendar!!!) Crackdown 3 (TC FTW) Super Lucky's Tale (this came out of nowhere and I'm happy about it) For a Motorsports 7 (dat Porsche... Imma buy one and name her Stella)
On one hand, I am glad Bethesda moved their conference back two hours so I can finish watching the Pittsburgh Penguins game. On the other hand, I have to get up really early for my internship tomorrow.
One thing I'm hoping for from Ubisoft, a new Splinter Cell game, cause that is the only one of Tom Clancy's big three that hasn't gotten a new-gen game.
I'm curious to see what Ubisoft shows if they already showed Assassin's Creed. That's going to be their big game this Fall. Ghost Recon is already out. Far Cry and South Park are givens, but what will the big surprise showstopper be? I think it could be a new Splinter Cell that could be more like MGS V.
Games that seem interesting and I can see myself buying 1-Assassins creed origins 2-Sea of thieves 3-metro 4-Anthem 5-Surving mars Besides that I saw 1 game which title wasn't revealed. It showed a trex with mechanical parts on its body. Anyone know the name? I give Xbox a B+
I wanted to like the Doom VR.. But I couldn't since it doesn't seem to have free moving, just wierd jumping.
I'm confused by Skyrim. That looked like the Remastered version's color palette, but only the original version is on the Switch. Is the Link skin an exclusive or is that some kind of mod, and they're saying you can mod on Switch? That would be huge if that was the case.
I always wanted to play the first Evil Within. It looked amazingly creepy. I heard it was still good, but didn't live up to expectations. Hopefully the sequel improves. Whoa new Wolfenstein
xbox one x sounds great; but bleh on the games for me. nothing really screams "buy an xbox one!" to me. bethesda's conference was boring. EA's conference is bleh. i hope sony and nintendo go better.
