Really great molds for those characters, just sad that they are so expensive. I'd love that Rodimus.

 

yeaaah, nope, that's still purple whirl. at least needs a new head.

 

I dunno that I need a hundred dollar Rodimus. Think I'd rather keep waiting for a new Generations deluxe version.

 

No need for Purplewave and l can wait for a new mold Roddy...Cloudimus  

(EDIT) l understand fully that this Cloud line is its on thing...its just not for me and none of the figures have reached out to me in any way as of yet...

 

Rodimus has a great Jap price. Might get him while I'm over there next year. I'm not paying the $100 cost to import.

 

And it's an orange Springer. Neither is anything to get excited about, imo.

 

Well... guess there are some advantages living close enough to Japan. That Rodimus is less than $100 SGD for us. Likely one of our toy stores will do a preorder soon.

 

I'll pass on Purple Whirl and Fireguts Springer, thankyouverymuch.

These Cloud toys aren't getting new heads even when they need them. Shockwave here was chosen solely because of Whirl's head. If they could give the mold a new head, I really doubt they would have gone with Shockwave.

Anyway, Cloud Shockwave makes for a great Shattered Glass Whirl.

 

I totally didnt realize these were only about 50-60 bucks here in japan. Im definitely going to the rodimus then.

I kinda want Rodimus, cause I love that mold and need a new classics of him. Shockwave, meh. Doesn't work just cause he's mono-eyed. Would have preferred his FoC form was a voyager

 

Shock-whirl does not float my boat but Roddy, even with the cheap out of the original head and not a much needed new one does.

Go figure.

It's like Cloud started good and then just decided "hey, people want to see innovation and progress in figures? As well as character accurate molds? HA! What do they know? It's not like they're our customers or anything". Takara....I'm sorry but you are becoming Hasbro. This is just a pathetic, over priced excuse to repaint already made figures. You clearly didn't learn from your Cloud Starscream that taking a triple changer mold, and repainting that mold to look like someone who WASN'T a triple changer, is a really dumb idea.


I had hope for you Takara. But then I saw you tried to release Generations Onslaught repainted to be The Fallen.

I'll have to agree with most of the comments here. These are 2 major characters that deserve their OWN molds, not bad repaints of existing characters with no other modifications to distinguish them.

I'll hang onto my FP Protector/Not Rodimus for now, thanks, and continue to wait for an ACTUAL Shockwave.

I imagine it'll only be a matter of time before they get their own molds.
