I am considering purchasing one or the other, but I have two questions:

1) Which would be the better long-term investment (factoring in possible low production runs, short & long-term demand, etc)?

2) Which is the better figure overall (poseability, detail, etc)?


Any input would be most helpful, thanks in advance.

 

Investment? I have no idea. THS-2b is hard to get with good price now, I assume.

They are very different sizewise, so it's hard to compare. THS-2 is a great toy, though, if you don't mind the small size.

 

1. I would guess, due to exclusivity and less releases of the mold, that Black Hybrid THS-02 would be more valuable.

2. THS-02 is a great mold- very poseable, very detailed, and has survived PLENTY of posing time.

There's only two things MP-03 has over THS-02, and that's hand articulation and the alt mode. Screamers alt mode is great, while THS-02 is not really a great representation of G1 Primes truck. However, the trailer is great.

 

Yeah, that's one negative thing I noticed about the THS-02 alt mode, it looked almost like a lego-former or something.

 

I would say if you dont have the MP-3 mold yet get MP Skywarp over both of those for sure.

In regards to those two specifically I would go with the Hybrid Convoy.
