That skirt looks terrible but other than that, not bad. I personally like the IF aesthetic better but the mini tapes really sell this one for me.

 

Love it. The more of these that come out the more inclined I am to start collecting. All the time it's a spotty occasional release it puts me off but theres a few teams making guys in this size now it's becoming more and more worth while

 

Quick comparison with the Hot Soldiers one...

 

Hot Soldiers one looks better and you just can't beat that price. Hopefully the actual figure is up to snuff.

 

While the THS looks better in detailing , I think it's coz I like the more modern feet that don't come out of the front of the shins that make me like the legs on DX9s more !!

Ok, like the skirt and waist swivel. Overall looks much cleaner/nicer but i am going with the Ths one for now.

 

Looks just as good as the THS. I love Soundwave so much and the THS version costs pocket change so I won't need to choose, I'll just grab both.

 

Well crap.

I can't say that it's unexpected, but I really wasn't expecting to see a Soundwave from them so soon.

 

So I'm guessing the production version will be teal?

 

I like the detailing of the sculpt of the THS a little more, but DX9 has more points of articulation.

I have their Devastator and Megatron, and have the Seekers & Coneheads on pre-order. I'll definitely be getting their Soundwave too.

 

THS is cheap enough I don't have to pick or choose. I do like how the DX9 one has waist swivel and ankle tilt and appears to be coming with Ravage & Ratbat. I don't mind him being a bit bigger than DX9's two pack releases.

But damn, I'm doubling up on lot of characters in 2017: Dinobots, Seekers, Coneheads, Shockwave and now Soundwave. Hopefully, the 3P Legends groups have a little less overlap going forward. I mean there is only a couple companies and like two hundred something possible Transformer characters. No need for MP style wars.

 

I wonder if we will get a Soundblaster or SG Soundwave from this.

 

Articulation and stability is key for me, and those ankle tilts will help tons!!! I like the look of it. Price will be determining factor with the other option available.

 

I could see a Soundblaster from this, but DX9 doesn't seem to produce a lot of repaints. If Iron Factory was making this guy I guarantee there would be a Soundblaster repaint.

 

Hmm the War in Pocket stuff doesn't seem to have a standard price. What do we expect the price for Soundwave to be? I'd be in for about $25 or less but I'd rather see it at $20.

 

I see that out of focus Ravage and would like to see more of it. Probably not included with Soundwave?

 

I'm guessing he'll be more than that, especially if he comes with 3 cassettes.

 

I am all over this; DX9 continues to know exactly what I want in this scale.

 

TCP has a page set for him in their preorder section, he just doesn't have a price listed yet.
