voyagers are ~17cm, leaders are ~24cm.. So at 21cm, looks like the old Ultra Class, or MMC IDW Megatron height I'd say

or just use 1:60 scale HAHAHA

I'm confused as to the homage here. Everyone keeps saying "Hot Rod", but to me, it looks like they made a Zoid and gave it a transformation into a robot mode! The thing even has a tiny pilot. Unless Hot Rod has cannonically shown up as tiger someplace I can't remember, I'm more inclined to just label this as an original idea.......with a few nods and winks to various inspirations for the design.

I do believe the artist of the doujin specifically labelled it Hot Rodimus, so yes, it is Hot Rod. And "AncetROD" might be a clue as to his identity as well. IT can't officially be him because copyright, but it's him in all but name.

How is this any different from Hasbro taking design liberties with the Classics line? They've just reimagined his alt mode as an animal. Kind of like if Beast Wars had used the original generation of G1 TFs, not the new ones they created for the show.

Price seems fine to me. It's not cheap but still. Chinese sellers and Taobao will likely have it a fair bit cheaper anyway. I assume it'll be around the size of their triple-changers since it's priced similarly.

It's like people never even bother looking at these threads before posting...

He's based on the fan-made T-Beast design. So yeah, it's an original idea. Nothing wrong with that though.

The King of Braves, GaoGaiGar (or, Yuusha-Oh/Yuusha-Ou GaoGaiGar)

    Either way, it's a joke. I think.

The point is, that's not the "original version".

Very nice, I'm into this in itself and because the aesthetic is the best kind of direction for third parties (i.e. things Hasbro won't make). Part of me wants to get the book so I can have visions of cool toys dance in my head, but another part wants to be surprised.

I'm also thrilled he's Hot Rod that doesn't look like Hot Rod. Pre IDW, this did not happen. On that note, taking into account the designs were always intended to be TF, I'm giving bonus points he's a headsculpt away from being full indie anyway.

Since people keep asking about the books, here are the links to buy legal, digital copies:
    T-Beast 1: T-BEAST [Kuramochizukan] | DLsite
    T-Beast 2: T-BEAST 2 [Kuramochizukan] | DLsite

If you want the physical books, you'll have to look elsewhere.

You can buy them from Toranoana but I don't think they ship internationally (though they advertise using BuySmartJapan as a middleman - links below):
    T-Beast 1: http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/article/04/0030/37/01/040030370113.html / T-Beast 1 - BuySmartJapan
    T-Beast 2: http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/article/04/0030/43/96/040030439693.html / T-Beast 2 - BuySmartJapan

And yes, if you know where to look, you can get the digital versions for free. I've already dropped hints on where to find them before but seriously, they're on only one of the most popular doujin sites. They're not hard to find. But I do suggest you buy them if you can (and I should add that I own them myself so my copies are all legal).

Pre Order done, at Kapow Toys.

Someone said kapow toys has good prices, so i took a look at the Site.

100 Euros for the Figure is a VERY Good Price, instead of 150 Euros.

I wanted to Order the Figure from Japanworld.it, but when i saw the Price 150$ is thought, WHAT??

I buy every Figure Twice, on for the Shelf, one to keep Sealed in Package,
so Yes, paying 200$ / 200€ instead of 300 is a very Good Option.

sadly, i can not use Kapow Toys the next Years, since they will exit the European Union in 2019.
And because i live in Germany, i would have to pay Customs duty in 2019.

For now, Kapow Toys is a very good Choice for the current Figures that are released
    in 2018.

Very Awesome Figure, i could not hold back after seeing all these Pictures.

But i also want to see if GT does the same Figure in the Future.

No, but since the Doujin was done by a Japanese artist, then there are lots of inspirations coming from Anime - Super Robots and the likes.

To be fair, you didn't make it super-clear. I was pointing out that it's an original fan design, so as to what it's based on, that's really anyone's guess, but as @daimchoc said, it takes cues from other robot designs (Zoids, Gundam, probably Brave, maybe even Virtual-On or similar).

Just pre-ordered. Transformers x Zoids via one of my favourite Autobots makes this an easy buy.
