The metallic version might actually have me buying this for once.
If I do buy it though I'll probably get rid of my FT Hoodlum.

With the latest pics I decided to pay in my PO. Tossed some points at it and got him for like 85 bucks, which feels like a comfy price. At sub 100 dollars I feel pretty good about most figure purchases.

 

I think the yellow wing was painted last time, whereas this time the yellow is plastic. Might explain the red color mismatches on the trailer, since it's painted plastic verse bare plastic.

 

Was kinda hoping the re-issue wouldn't be a fully painted version. A lot of the charm to some of these older dx9 releases for me is that they can actually be played with and don't chip all over your hands.

 

Still my Favourite Rodimus figure to date.
I might pick up a second anyway.

 

Just went in through Show Z and ended up getting this figure for 55 bucks with my points! Hells yea! What a steal, totally worth the buy at that price. Beats 150 at US retailers. Don't have the original so I'm just glad to be getting this in general. I know there was minor issues with him him holding his target master. I wished this version corrected that but it's not a HUGE deal. Can still get some great poses out of him.

 

The paint chips all over your hands are a totem to let you know that the figure is real and you’re awake, not in some Inception-type of dream sequence.

On the bright side though, you’ll probably be able to find unpainted version for cheaper once this is out in the wild. It’s a fun figure, I think you might even like it.

IDK. I can't decide if the darker red helps or makes this too dark for this mold. The lighting for these new pics don't help at all

 

That's a pre-release sample, the final release had several changes (and is a whole lot darker red overall). I think the latest release may end up being VERY similar to the original.

 

I saw that too on the pre-release bc of the chest was the biggest. I couldn't find a good pic of the final and my copy I haven't transformed it. Too far behind on this stuff.

 

Hey, I was hoping you or anyone for that matter, might be able to answer a question. I was looking at this. I see there are two links? One is the gun and one is the top of the gun, I think. I'm trying to figure out if I'm looking at this correctly. Is the gun 12 bucks and the top of the gun another 10? OR is it that you pay the 12 and get the gun with the top and the 10 is just the gun no top? Really hoping that the little top part isn't another 10 because that seems REALLY extreme on the part of the person who made it. How can that little top part be almost as much as the gun itself? lol

If anyone else knows or has any input, that'd be awesome. Not even sure if this would still be available? I'm assuming so or it wouldn't still be listed on the site? Thanks for your or anyone's input on this.

I was excited for this because I never got the original Carry, but I wish the chest flames were outlined. The colours don't seem as "rich" on this version.

 

That's what I thought too and I just think that seems a little much. I mean.. I thought about getting it and getting the top part too but for another 10? Doesn't seem reasonable.

 

I was fairly sure the wing on my original copy was yellow plastic, with the red and flame details painted on the back, but now I am questioning myself. I'll try and check it out later today.
