I'm personally in the gang where XTB looks better. The extra panel-line-esque details and such are something that gets me to keep my eyes on it enough to long at it, haha. Though DX9 in all fairness did do better with some details by comparison. Mainly for me, the use of translucent parts on the waist and torso. Aside from all that I get you on the colors, i'm gonna reserve judgement until I get the whole XTB set in, but on the arms at least, that I totally agree on. Though if I had to go off these images, it's fine to me just since it now looks a little more uniform, though I wish it was a bit of a lighter grey across the board. Instead of something like this... Something like THIS... Would have probably worked better.
Haha thanks... I live in Atlanta! I think there are some other pics showing out of the windows in my imgur album, but there's a nice one here and one here through the shades too. I'm lucky enough to have 4 giant windows facing north... if the skies clear up tonight, I'll be able to see at least 8 fireworks displays. If you're bored, there are some shots of my view in my IG too.
@ph4zed VERY cool decepticon collection, and awesome view. Before I started my career in the Tx prison system at 19 (this would have been around the age of 18) I worked security in the Cosmopolitan Condo building in Houston...super wealthy high rise condo homes. We are talking supercars in the garage with lifts to raise them into big protective concrete boxes. I think the average price of a condo there was 3m. Anyway I would frequently go upstairs and get to see the view from some of those balconies and it was so pretty. I think if I ever hit the lotto I would move in there
Earlier this week I saw a Pitney Bowes van chilling at the park next to my house. I saw the same thing happen this summer at a park on another side of town.
So DX9 and UT will reissue all their previously released products as well as released planned items like the rest of their G2 Stunticons? I thought DX9 was "closing-up shop" so to speak.
Holy crap, after a month my drag strip from showz finally hit customs. I was starting to think it had been on that boat. Guess it was just the usual holiday slowdown. Menasor will soon be complete!
My understanding is that the design team left but the business side of the company is still around so can still use the already finished designs/ molds. This is why we can get the G2 Stunticons. There were also rumors of a metallic version of their Rodimus. I'm expecting to see a bunch of recolors/ metallic reissues of their catalog for a bit. I'm hoping we finally get a guardian color version of their Omega mold.
I've heard from several people - including one sales rep for a distributor - who said that DX9 is absolutely still selling their old products and manufacturing new ones under a different brand name. While I'm not a professional myself, I've spoken to a few dealers who've all confirmed to me that DX9 reissues are going to happen.
No, New Age left DX9 years ago. A different team created Menasor - that's who just left. Makes you wonder about the turnover...
