This looks interesting... so MMs body just form the front of the cab... rotating chest, head back, and arms to for the part for the front of cab. Like they sliced FT RK in half... then used the remaining part of the cab for the Menasor body.

Hmmm... I don't really need 4 sets of Stunticons... do I?

They use the windshield of the truck to make the front of the shin.

 

Its looks like a less complex version of TFM Powertrain's method of transforming, as it seems there's less panels going this way and that. I was kinda hoping it would be cab only though. I know some people are aghast at that, that the transformation should include the trailer. And Road King being the full truck works. But as much as I like Powertrain, I've always found the half trailer left over thing a little silly.

When i had him displayed in bot mode, that left me with half a trailer left over, which i could leave in base mode, taking up a bunch of shelf space, or half a trailer tucked away somewhere. A whole trailer does take up more space than the half trailer, but less than a base, but it also looks better sitting in the back. As it is, I guess you'd have to have the 3/4 trailer set aside somewhere, or have the Menasor suit standing in the back.

I do kinda like the idea that part of the trailer becomes the bot as an homage to the toon. But you do loose out on shelf space if you want to display your team of bots. And shelf space is always a premium.

I usually leave my PowerTrain trailer in base mode (I actually have 2 PowerTrains... I really like MM   and the other is combined in to TFM Menasor). But it maybe getting stashed away somewhere with all these other competitors coming out now.

 

Or did they mention a release date cause Arturo Milomir on FB said releasing soon?

I would like MM to be a truck and not a truck + piece of trailer but what I like most is that the combined mode and bot look good.

 

That's kind of goofy but I guess it's better than him being just the cab and being too small.

 

Pretty cool to see another take/the engineering of a MM. By that pic you can pretty much tell the the light grey parts/panels will be his arms. Only nitpick I will say is that I hope the rims aren't Purple once it's released lol.

 

Clever engineering. There is a line sketch of prime in the pic. Is that a hint of another project?

 

Would be crazy if dx9 completed menasor first - after so long going silent focusing on legends

DX9 basically took the design and layout of TFM PowerTrain and FT RoadKing and combined them. TFM PT is a killer bot, despite having a chunk of trailer left over in bot mode. Works great for the combined Menasor bot though. Fully integrated.

I'm not so sure about DX9 MM purple side mounted gas tanks and dull matte grey smoke stacks... would've liked silver chrome on both of these. Nit pick I know.

 

Looks very good, i like that the whole headbox seems to have some articulation. The face still doesn't sit right with me though.

 

Seriously not trying to be a negative Nancy but why doesn't DX9 just already show/reveal the figure? Yes I know there are some pics but I'm tired of seeing all these blurry,BLK/white pics,from a distance pics. Shit reminds me of them Big Foot in the wild pics lol.
