Kinda odd to see them together given Unique Toys just recently releasing their own Bruticus, but I suppose there's nothing to indicate this being an "official" image release. Plus, there's the fact DX9's Stunticons appear to scale much better with Zeta as well...
The info I've received from my source is that none of these companies and certainly none of the smaller ones (so FT may be the exception) have any "in-house" designers employed and contracted exclusively to them. It's all freelance work so designers just hop from company to company and so a guy might have one bot for DX9 and another for UT and another for Zeta and another for MMC, etc.
Anyway, now that La Hire is out DX9 really has no excuse to not release their Motormaster tootsweet. I think they might be doing the FT thing where they're releasing one non-Stunticon figure in between? Correct me if I'm mistaken, please, but didn't they release K2 Ancestrod in between Montana and Henry? I really feel Capone (and a well-received/well-reviewed one at that) is DX9's last chance to salvage this set. If they don't release this before FT releases Spoiler, I think it's over for them. They've got no chance to compete unless they stay ahead in bot count, consistently. Right now it's 2-1 lead, but even that is not really a lead, because FT's "1" was the main guy, and really well reviewed at that. He might be FT's best figure since the Dinobots. So unless DX9 makes it 3-1 with their own quality MM before FT makes it 2-2, it's dunzo.
I don't think it's quite the make or break situation, granted there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff we don't know. DX9, XTB and FT are all making G1 Menasors but they're all still very different from each other. If anything I think it'll come down to a royal rumble between the Motormasters. FT came out swinging hard with Roadking for sure but we still don't know what the other two have up their sleeves.
I think it's almost impossible to argue that DX9 has the most "toon-accurate" MM render of the three. The legs are all black and its back is definitely the cleanest, with no bulky backpack. Of course they're cheating since they're not incorporating the trailer in the transformation, but still. From an engineering standpoint, it makes you wonder why it's taking so long since they've already given themselves the easy out.

Because DX9 Motormaster will come with a trailer that transforms into the Menasor skeleton. So DX9 is not releasing one bot, they are essentially releasing two at the same time. And as you have pointed out - DX9 doesn't want to screw this up. The argument that DX9 has to stay ahead of FT in releasing figures is bullcrap. People are going to buy the figures that they are drawn to and a gestalt figure that holds up. Fans Toys probably was smart to release the gestalt skeleton at the end so they had more time to perfect it. But in the end there are going to be people who will wait until the figures are complete before they make up their minds. It seems silly to continue arguing over and over that DX9 is finished. Sorry, but you're coming across as impatient.
I totally forgot this existed x.x I’ve had the leg bots posed with Road King since I’ve gotten him in. And I think I’m going to go with FT although it make take years for them to finish theirs.
Just got Henry today and i gotta say it again and i know that it is already been said but he really is waaaaaayyyy much better than Montana in terms of Quality and Build. Really hoping that they would release Capone in the remaining months of 3rd QT 2019.
