If I weren't trying to scale my collection way back and save some $, I'd be all over this. What an awesome update of Cy-kill!!!

Sweet. He looks a lot more appealing without those goofy wheels on his shoulders.

I love that robot mode but the bike mode kind of irks me. It's a great bike on it's own but Cy-kill was and always will be this futuristic thing to me and this alt mode doesn't fit that..... but damn does that robot mode look perfect.

I love this guys bot mode. It's an amazing update to cykill.

I really wish the bike mode could have kept that futuristic styling of the original though, and been a bit more blocky in parts. Making it look like a modern, realistic bike mode is ok. But it ends up just feeling like "generic motorcycle" instead of having that distinct CYKILL look/appeal in both modes.

Again, bot mode nailed it, but i think they could have done away with some of the curves in the legs and such to really nail a more blocky/stylized look in alt mode that really would give it that appeal to gobot fans. Still, bot mode may be enough to get this figure :lol

Haha awesome. Seems you were typing up the same response as I was typing mine :D

    :lol

I pulled my preorder at the last minute because I just couldn't come to terms with the alt mode. I think I'm still struggling with that decision because I have the urge to place the order again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he has almost the exact same transformation as Wreck-Gar.

I don't blame you. The bot mode just screams CYKILL and if you don't intend to transform him too much, wow what a representation of the character.

Like I was saying though a bit more boxyness in the design and more of an homage to his original vehicle mode could have gone a long ways. I just have no connection with modern motorcycles for me to really care about his alt mode. I loved the original cykill bike, and where this overwhelmingly succeeds in bot mode, the nostalgia drops dead in alt mode.

    It's a really tough call.

    Ebay:
Just got this in the mail from BBTS last week and got around to opening it up yesterday. Pretty neat figure really. The quality feels like it is lacking a little bit but I can't say that it's bad... just have a feeling about it. Hard to explain I guess.

    QUESTION:

The front blue section of the bike mode (lower left leg) connects to the knee joint via a black strut piece. Is the connection between the blue piece and the strut just held together by friction or is there supposed to be a metal pin through those two pieces to hold them together? Mine does not have a pin but looks like it should and consequently it all holds together just OK but tends to fall apart during transformation when you're twisting that section around and fiddling with it. Can anyone confirm for me if there should be a pin through there or not?
