Waiting for the Fanstoys
My PT copy had loose legs and couldn't stand, and I wasn't the only one. Had to tighten them. Otherwise, no other major issues.
I found that if you follow the transformation correctly with the rear wings folded under his feet, he will tend to fall backwards, as his feet aren't completely flat, so you have to adjust his heels to match the unevenness of the front of the feet.
Otherwise, you can keep the rear wings folded over his shins instead, like shin guards. His feet will be flat then, and he'll balance easier:
Did you fold out the heel spurr??
Does KO or dx9 version of this have diecast?
where can we buy the AOD version these days?
I have got POCKET TOYS version , it looks great but my copy cant hold its gun tight, and it doesnt want to stand on its feet If you'll buy KO it is better be AOD Version.
Yes, I mentioned it in my post. Yours are tight, I assume? Mine's average, so the heels like push back in, which causes the feet to become uneven again.
What's the AOD version?
No clue but Robotoybase has the actual DX9 version with no box or book for $29.90 + $15 shipping. That's a decent price if you don't care about the box, especially for an official DX9 version of it.
Edit: It looks like Uncle Billy's has the AOD version in stock for $49.
Art of Deformation. It's full name is AOD-01 Deformation Glider.
\\anyone purchsed this without box? the eyes look darker from the image. Was just watching benskollectibles video and the KO version has the darker eyes. Makes me wonder if they are selling the KO version??
I think best way is looking at the white circle thing in its head. As you can see KO version has no detail just white circle unlike the original one
Is that happening?
With nothing even hinted from them about one, if it were I personally think it wouldn't happen until 2024-2029.
Welp, I folded and overpaid for an official DX9 Richthofen. I'm sure the KO is 80-90 percent as good but I just couldn't do it.
Does anyone know what the story is with all the unboxed Richthofens from China? The boxed copies specifically say they are KOs but these don’t? Are they factory rejects? Stolen from the factory?
With KOs, the provenance is questionable, but it's going to be at a lower price than the DX9 version. You kind of roll the dice with most KOs.
You could ask the seller, but I guess it's caveat emptor, either way.
My AoD figure has the line across the white egg-shape thingy.
Unfulfilled production run? last minute use of materials before running from debts? Will be nothing but guessing.
That said I got one off eBay for $30, it's great, my only complaint is the chest is tight when spinning it during transformation, otherwise it has no issues.
