didn’t pay attention to the reviews’ mentions of ankle articulation, but the lack of this basic joint is disappointing. i actually had this in my cart because i thought he’d still be cheap enough to mess with, but there seems to be too many little quirks about him that make him forgettable. think ill skip on this as well like i did vasili. will see how dx9 ginrai is, but as it stands this subline doesn’t impress me as much as magic square’s engineering

Unfortunately I have to agree that it feels a step down from what modern MS is doing. But I am glad these characters are getting some love in legends, and for all thier faults both Vasili and Michael look great in bot mode on a shelf.

The bot mode is so good-looking and the size is perfect for the MS-toys collection. As for the car mode, it is a big car compared to Jazz's. Anyway, I'm satisfied with the bot mode and also love the cute car mode.

Got DX-9 Chromedome 2.0 today, and god damn I love him. The alt mode isn’t perfect, but it transforms well and tabs in nicely.

i’ve seen other people complain about the ankle articulation just pull the foot out a little bit so you can hinge it more. It’s not that much of a big deal you’re making a big issue of nothing. Designer made sure that this was poseable as as possible. It’s a posing dream.

The classic Magic Square random “oily” plastic patches are present on my copy, but I just overlook this anymore because magic Square is never going to change in this respect.

if you are a fan of Chromedome it and headmasters, this is a must own.

I think of those as 'UT oily patches' (as, pre-Magic Square, they were not uncommon on Palm Collection figures)...

Figure is alright. Transformation is simple, but feels complicated on the first go around because nothing feels like it tabs in until the end. Wish the joints were a little stiffer. He's not floppy, but just on the edge of, "dammit i just adjusted that." Front of the car looks like it was chopped off. I don't know anything about the character but i like legends scale stuff so i bought it

Well in the end I bought it, for 30 euro I can forgive the not so stellar alt mode given that bot mode seems good. I hope we won't have to wait much for the other Headmasters.

On my copy the crotch is always dragging on the ground and doesn't let the wheels touch the ground. Don't know what I am doing wrong. The car mode is really growing on me. I don't know what key articulation point some are claiming he is missing (head rocker)?

Chromedome is in my top five Transformers, and I am absolutely loving this figure. The car mode hood doesn't bother me that much. Its a stylized Chromedome car mode. I'm ok with this.

Car mode is supposed to be huge. He is an huge Assault car. He is basically the same size as Hardhead who is a huge tank.

I got mine today and transformed him to make sure he works. Mine had the same problem, but massaged the car mode and somehow got the crotch area to go up and give enough ground clearance to roll.

I have to say I really like him in bot mode and the car mode isn't that bad either. Some minor nit picks (the back of the car mode, weird arm joints, and the tabs being weird in car mode) but honestly it isn't that bad given how small he is. I do have to say that I have a problem where I need to replace my Unique Toys Headmasters. :lol

The double joint near the elbow. Although I've been fiddling with poses all afternoon and coming around to liking it. Just like your photos show.

Robot mode closely resembles the character's appearance in the series, with little deviation. However, the vehicle mode's roof appears slightly fuller, resembling more of a utility vehicle rather than a sports car.

The materials used exhibit remarkable resilience, albeit some joints may require careful alignment. A commendable design feature is the ability for the miniature robot to access the driver's cabin in vehicle mode.

Bought this because I’m a Chromedome fan, but the figure itself is really reminding me why I stopped picking up Magic Square products. It’s not without its charm but it’s kind of an overengineered mess of a figure. The sculpt isn’t very refined, the alt mode looks incomplete, and the transformation is needlessly fiddly (two sets of fake wheels? Really?).

But I don’t regret getting it, it’s still Chromedome. Probably won’t be picking up any more of these, though (at least until they get to my other favorite Headmaster, Weirdwolf).

It’s not peak Magic Square until there are more fake wheels than real ones.

Mine is on the way. Don't think it looks superb, but I expect it will look great to have the whole bunch together.. eventually.

It has always bothered me that the DX-9 MFT beige sides in car mode extended so far towards the front. Someday will get a great car mode Legends scale Chromedome I hope.

Well, I was SUPPOSED to be able to mess around with him today, but when I got the package from ShowZ it looked like it had been ran over. Opened it up, and sure enough the figure is smashed. Having to wait on a response from ShowZ about a replacement. Great way to start my birthday.
