The original toy had a small area in the back, complete with ramp-style door, that most people usually stowed the super mode head in.

And they're like what, an inch tall? That's some good articulation for something so small

Better looking ankle tilts on the super mode than the MP IMO.

No. The original had a small cavity at the back end, and was usually used to store the head for the super mode so it wasn't just sitting around loose. And technically you could also put a small figure, like Titans Return Bumblebee, in the back of Titans Return Optimus Prime.

I don't think the DX9 cavity will be that big. As others have mentioned the OG PMOP had it but most of us stored the super head in there.

I'm also going to bet that the picture was just to show that it opened but it's not going to have enough room for someone like Doubledealer.

I respect whats been done... but I have a feeling with all these Ginrai popping up in a month or two NewAge and/or Iron Factory will show something off that I might be more into.

It’s not a deal-breaker for me but that tiny head is really off-putting. I know its a stylistic design choice that a lot of people appreciate for “heroic proportions” or whatever but it just looks out of place here. Hopefully they revise.

No, they're just assuming (reasonably) that it'll be significantly cheaper than the MPG.

I think you can use the pricing of Magic Square’s Motor master as a guess. They both combine with the trailer and turn into a bigger robot and it came with a lot of alternate parts for Toy or Cartoon combination modes.

Several people mentioned the G1 toy, but KFC did it as well, and did it for not only the Prime trailer and god bomber based on renders.

The trailer is out, but I don't have time to look for a picture of it so I just grabbed the render from the first post.

Iron Factory won't show anything we haven't seen until at least December, and probably January based on the last few years. I can't eliminate NA, but I don't feel they are likely in the short term. Off the top of my head I don't think they have gone into the Japanese G1 era yet.

It is REALLY tiny, something along the lines of half an inch. The main figure is Legends scale, just imagine how small the Powermaster has to be for such a small figure.

I want to say that Grand Raijin is also able to do the partial trailer thing. A5E27F1B-0835-424D-A34F-F1FF3F80227E.jpeg p15a-super-raijin-trailer-16.jpg

Can we *please* add some necks? Both bot modes look unfinished without them

Add those necks and I'm in.

I recall the original PM OP had legs at back of super mode pegged together and no door or trailer . Maybe it could store inside the front part where ginrai plugged in for chest mode? but then the head wouldn't be secured I think and just fall out

The legs were pegged together, but they were hollow, and both feet had doors that opened out.

Here is a pic of the back of the trailer open (link just for source where I found the picture)

EDIT: A second image, this one with the head stored there. Of note the article at the source link admits he found out the back opened after owning it for 26 years. Transformers Square One: Who Knew?
