GP should finish their Dinobots first, I'm sure a lot of people are waiting on that. (I gave up and just finished the dinos with FT ones.) Personally I wouldn't count on GP's Omega Supreme... god knows when they will have time to do this.

DX9's MP scale is following Studio OX style, I believe? I couldn't find a Studio OX Omega Supreme image, anyone saw one before?

 

I hope they do the smart thing and scale this down for their War In Pocket line. I've only been collecting their Decepticons, but I would definitely pick up a WIP Omega Supreme.

DX9 confirmed it's between 1000 to 1300 RMB, that's roughly between 146 USD to 190 USD, of course that's MSRP in China.

Let's use FT Omega Supreme's price for comparison. FT's on Taobao is 2000 RMB, roughly 300 USD, selling in north American around 400 + USD.
So I guess DX9's will be 200 to 300 USD.

TBH, i'm amused by this announcement. Is this a form of payback? After all, FT had antagonised DX9 on several occasions, announcing (FT) products early to undermine DX9 sales. I guess DX9 had enough and had decided to punch back. If DX9 intends to stick to the 1000-1300 rmb price-point, it would sway all but the most diehard of FT fanboys.

 

This would suggest it's already been made and someone has hold of it.

Also $200?! Feck.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if it dropped in the next couple of days on a Chinese sellers site like Mightron did.

I like Mightron a lot so I'm definitely curious about this but dammit the reveal was a little too late. Already got a deposit in for FT's version. Don't need two MP-OS. Now if someone did animated I'd be in for that. Love that design.

 

I don't care if I don't care if fanstoys is technically better, unless it's two times better I'll probably be going with this one. I could use the savings to complete my Seacon set (i was contemplating selling what i already had)

I was initially thinking this was financial suicide, but if they are gonna drop the price to the bottom then clearly they'll have a market. Truth is I still dont understand the reasoning on the project tho. FT teased Omega long ago. DX9 has known about the competition from both Giga and FT long enough to do the math. If they are gonna price drop as a competitive advantage, they need to make it up in volume. FT (dalianjj) has said that Omega is a serious risk from a profit perspective BEFORE cutting the price and competition. I dont mind options, but if this is truly aimed at the MP market, I question the rationale here.

Well what goes in 3P land is pretty much irrelevent. Its the product that matters. Terminus Giganticus looks pretty great so DX9 is gonna have to bring their A-game. So far my personal opinion of the DX9 MP aesthetic has been fairly laughable. Obviously there are plenty of DX9 fans, so I suppose one could suggest that this project isnt necessarily geared towards my personal preferences anyway.
