That might be the other negative. He's big and he's heavy. I had originally intended to put him on top of a detolf but his weight has deterred me.

 

Ha ha! Having it on the top of a detolf would be a good ‘crush trap’ for pets or small children should he decide to topple off! Best to display at or near ground level.

 

Just built a cabinet with shelves 32” apart so I hope he fits in there.

Don't sleep on Gabriel. He KO'd TG right out of my collection.

 

I had the FT version and then got Gabriel. I instantly regretted getting the FT version and sold it off. Here’s my post explaining why: DX9 D12 Gabriel (not Omega Supreme)

 

The height looks adequate. How deep are they? Gabe is thicc, plus he’s pretty broad in the shoulders.

 

You US collectors are lucky, not only is this seemingly consistently restocked over there of late, but also heavily discounted. Meanwhile over here it's sold out everywhere except ebay where the only local sellers are listing it for £300+ (~$400)

For the RoTW, if you don't mind being a little 'adventurous', you can buy from TaoBao and use Superbuy to ship all over the world. I believe it will cost maybe US$200 - US$250 in all if you use the cheapest shipping.

 

They are 16” deep.

 

The head/face IMO look better on the FT version.

 

I'm at work right now, but I'll try to get you some bot-mode height, depth, and width measurements when I get home, probably around 3pm eastern.

I thought the same thing, but it really isn't that noticeable in hand. My only remaining niggle is the face color, which I may change once we get into spring and I can paint outside.

Gabriel isn't better than TG in every way -- the face and elbows I prefer on TG. But the face is obscured by the glare of f the visor and elbows are elbows. Pictures don't do the comparison justice. In-hand, Gabriel feels like Omega to me, while TG feels like Bootleg Omega. TG is just a transformer figure, while Gabe is a figure that happens to transform.

 

You good to go on depth. I have him and he could all most sit sideways in a closed with doors cabinet and has about 14" depth. I even put it in a 12" one and he still fit but there, your not going to be able to turn it at all.

 

I've already commented on this last time BBTS offered Gabriel at $180, but this is such a ridiculously good deal I just have to comment again. 

I've had my Gabriel since original release and even I'm tempted at this price. This is literally pound for pound (Gabriel weighs about 11 lbs) the best deal of any Transformers figure currently available (I think).

 

I'm loving my Gabriel since I got him on the last BBTS reissue. If you missed that time. Jump on it now. totally worth it.

Also why do people not like his face?

His cartoon G1 face was orange also.

 

Because TF fandom is extremely nit-picky. It's a face, it's orange, and it looks like the source material. I've been quite happy with my Gabriel.

 

How would you prefer the face color? If you want more orange, someone here did a fix awhile back where they added food coloring to Future and applied it to the clear window giving it an orange filter. They said the process can be reversed, but I didn't want to risk it.
