Yeah, and how the heck could the tracks end up on his back when they're clearly connected to the parts that form his legs and feet, unless there is parts forming? Is that part not considered as parts forming? Maybe there's a little that isn't parts formed, but almost everything else about it definitely is.

I don't really care about parts forming on Omega as long as you don't have to put a bunch of those little yellow things on to secure everything.

That pretty much settles it for me DX9 Gabriel is going in my collection,sorry FansToys but Gabriel here won this battle for the sheer facts of these reasons:

1.He is a Whopping 22 inches Tall.
2.Gabriel looks somewhat leaner in robot mode,not so boxy.
3.He looks more Cartoon Accurate.
4.He doesn't look like he partsform as much.
5.Even tho I don't know yet he will most likely be the same price or maybe cheaper than Terminus,I hope so.

But I am still not ruling out of getting Terminus later on down the road,I just feel I want Gabriel first.And I gotta say "Damn DX9 Is Releasing Some Winners Here Lately".Later guys.

I dunno... I'd imagine every company probably would prefer nobody else make a version of the character they're working on or have made (ie ft preceptor or KFC blaster) so that they can continue to sell their figure.. But at the same time, they must all know that like moths to a flame, more will come if the money is there.

If anything, I think it's about first to market advantage. First one out will take a bigger bite of the pie, regardless if the second offering is superior. Of course there are lots of factors, but generally, tf collectors aren't known for their patience. Lol.

 

FT's Skyfire is actually pretty decent. Credit where its due.

 

Not actually complicated to engineer at all really, all you need is some good multi hinged joints and you can easily relocate the thighs higher up beside the lower torso and have the knees rotate and bend to sit flat beside them with the lower legs split in two.

I think with FT's the thighs fold away? and the lower legs partsform off to form the track and this is directly related to their thigh swap height feature I believe.

I dont really see the complaints about the quality. Thought you could throw mightron at a wall and he would be fine

 

if i was getting either omega, i prefer the way this looks. if it's in the $250 range i might just get it.

This is perfection, perfect height, perfect shape, it makes me tears up. The robot looks out of the 80's show, the base and the tank head gimmicks OMG!
Never liked fanstoys robot look anyway and he's gonna be unnecessarily heavy and be a statue on the back. I thought no one else had the balls to make large characters and had beside FT and TW. But I bought enough toy word crappy loose products, and don't want to get screw like with Devastator again anyway. DX9/ UT save the day once again, just cancelled my FT Omega order in robokingdom, I need this like last year, has TF Source or BBTS preorder up yet? They better have better shipping than RK, I know TFS and a few are free shipping anyway.

Pretty sure Terminus is 65 cm or 25.6 inches to the top of the wings and, apparently, 60 cm or 23.6 inches to the top of the head.

 

Oh, where did it say Alloy, lol, sorry man, I looked at the diagrams and I can't find it.

 

No bad toys, only bad prices. Personal first impression is that FT's looks better except for their shitty FT face (as usual). The DX9 tank thingy especially, is odd-looking. But is FT's twice as good as DX9's, if it's going to be twice the price? Debatable.

Gigapower has yet to throw some real punches; I'm happy to wait until they show something more in the light of these other Omega reveals.

 

i prefer the look of DX9 but i also wasn't planning on either.

if this drops at $235 tho that would make me take a long hard look.

 

Well, they can do like mp ultra magnus. The cab can be detach from the trailer and roll on its own. Atttached to the trailer to transform "wholly". So maybe the tank can be attached to certain part of the track to transform "wholly"? Just my guess

 

I sure hope it's minimal. Not ideal with a bot this big.
