Al-Modes via DX9 Weibo:
I stand semi corrected.
Those alt modes aren't... too bad actually? And the robot mode is ridiculously kibble free. Definitely interested.
Wow, best looking dx9 figure by far. I always used to love bashing these guys, cause they just kept fuckkng up ml figures by not having them look like they should. Their legends just were ugly. They justvjad these same standard mistakes that just made them dx9 (like how old just fucks shit up with their bs upper legs, crotch fucked up and way too many panel lines just for the fuck of it).
This is their first good looking g figure. The alt modes look pretty damned decent as well.
Finally , a sixshot car mode where the front wheels haven't been pushed halfway down the car and it look it's gonna tip over.
And the beast mode looks really proportional !!
Robot mode is nice, sleek and more G1. Will they include samurai style sword like MMC Terminus Hexatron? And is that a kunai in the first page? Please keep up with Ninja Style: kunai, shuriken, chain and sickle weapon or others. I know, it is not Headmaster or G1 style but, hey! He is a ninja consultant.
Well, Sixshot has been perfected for all time forever now, hooray!
It's amazing how clean that bot mode is, especially considering it's a six changer.
I don't know what it is but I'm just not feeling this figure. Glad everyone else is psyched though.
The alt modes are super-G1-bricky, but I kinda want that for Sixshot. That bot mode is what dreams are made of!
Only thing i dont like are the wheels on top of the jet mode, they could ve added a cockpit to the tank too..Other than that i love this!
Well, they're going for show accuracy as much as possible. I'm impressed, I'm seriously impressed.
I wonder what made them drop the stylized designs (Carry/Studio OX) and stick with traditional "We're going to beat Takara at their own game." ?
Well they are still taking some liberties here and there. G1 six didn't have proper digigrade style legs in wolf mode nor did the car mode have wheels situated in a more sensible location, both changes are evolutions/improvements to the g1 design.
Fair enough, still, it screams "I'm a cartoon come to life!"
Sales perhaps..or maybe they are testing the waters with a more cartoon accurate release
I'd trade up my Hexatron for this. I know super-bricky G1 isn't for everyone, but for me the only thing better than 80's robots are 70's robots!
...needs more ridges.
Although Hanzo doesn't decisively trounce the Titans Return figure (I feel the vehicle modes [tank, car and jet] for example, were better executed on the official figure) DX9's Sixshot is particularly fascinating to me because it's the first time that the bizarrely neglected wolf mode has been given priority over the other alt-modes. Perhaps it would've been nice to see the engineering budget more evenly distributed amongst the other modes (the exposed feet in gun and tank modes make the robot yoga transformations just a tad too egregious for my liking) but it's extremely refreshing to see what should be Sixshot's most dramatic form - after the robot, naturally - given the respect it deserves.
We now live in a world where a Sixshot wolf mode exists that actually has digitigrade legs. *inhales deeply* What a time to be alive...
Is it evident I love this character? Congrats to DX9 cause they made my favourite one so far EDIT: I'll mod this when G-Creation will share all the official modes pics. Here the highest resolution with G1 cells too https://i.imgbox.com/cBkYsOAE.jpg
