After school and Saturday morning cartoons were one of the best things about the 80's.

yes, if it is two feet long and two feet high it would be plenty large, even if it wouldn't be 'accurate' scale

Yes. That was what led to the Macekre that was Robotech. The other two shows were added to Macross to fill out the episode count so it could be syndicated.

You kinda can. There's a fan-made version using that final 'Requiem' script. It's not perfect, but still fun as hell. Some changes were made that I daresay improve on the script and offer some long-needed closure.

Here you go. This group completed it using the script written by series writer Michael Reaves and fully animated by using original footage from the series. Dialog from the DVD radio show released in 2006 by BCI eclipse. With original cast member Katie Leigh graciously reprising her role of Shelia.

Or a full reboot set years later with them as late teens/early twenties.

I'm gonna have to watch that. I recall watching something a few years ago, it seems, but I don't think it had the audio from the radio show.

So what are you in for with the 6" Golden Archive?

I'm not a completist. I like to carve out sets to collect.

    For me, I'm getting:

The cartoon kids plus Venger/Dungeonmaster. (And Shadow Demon, Kareena, and Nightmare if released.)

    The Companions of the Hall.

    Any eye-catching monsters.

The only thing I think I want from the movie line from what we know now is the Gelatinous Cube. I feel there will be more monsters that I will be tempted to pick up.

I may get the main cast of Honor Among Thieves IF I really like it and IF the likenesses are good and IF I can get it below retail. (I pretty much expect to see movie toys clearanced these days.)

wondering what they will do for the second series of animated figures...seems like they're keeping the accessory count low...

Sheila's cloak with a separate hood up-hood down piece? A full cape with hood in either position seems unlikely to cost out...

Presto with a removable hat or a separate head with hat?

Eric would come with the shield of course, but what might be his additional accessory? (I'm rooting for the alternate frog head)

    I'm voting for:

Sheila: Alternate head and hood down piece as sole accessories.

    Preso: Alternate head and hat.

    Eric: Alternate translucent "glowing" shield

Thanks for this! Finally some sort of closure after around 40 years!

Just watched it. And, I’m pretty sure that IS what I saw a while back. It was great, and considering it was pieced together by fans, is pretty well done. AND, the fact that it was written by an original writer for the series back in the day makes it canon. It’s worth a watch!

No idea and almost don’t care. Venger just needs to stand there looking like Venger.

I say for Sheila, she comes with 2 cloaks. Normal solid color is it down. Pull her head off and take off the cloak. There is an more clear plastic cloak with another head in it. Put it on the body. Being clear plastic, it makes it seem more like it is turning invisible.

Well, I hope the next four figures are Sheila, Bobby, Presto and Shadow Demon. Seems like a no brained. I wonder if we will get a soft goods Venger in the future to go with his horse? I would be all in for a Tiamat Haslab. Also, I don’t know why Hasbro doesn’t start making all of the most popular monsters from The Monster Manual. Seems like those would sell like crazy, right?
