Bloodhound, lean more into the tracker part of his character

 

I'd probably call him "Sweepmaster" or something like that, but I'll admit that's not particularly clever. It sounds more like a rank than a name but eh.

 

Considering the nature of "Sparks"... are Transformers basically just a bunch of "Spark" life-force piloting giant transforming mech suits?

Would it be ridiculous if I say, that I've heard yaoi audiobooks with better and more professional voice-acting than whatever the Netflix WFC trilogy's voice-acting was?

 

What's with all the hype over Nightbird? Is there something I missed? It's (most likely) just a nameslap of a mediocre one-off character.

 

Plus she's appearing in the movie next year.

I really want to go with Sweep Prime, but that title holds a lot more significance in Transformers than "the first". Or maybe even go with "Sweep One," and refer to the collective entity of the Sweeps as "Scourge." Mostly referring to a group of 3 Sweeps (so Scourge and 2 Sweeps as we know them now).

 

Like you have too much time on your hands.    

 

Because it would do Scourge a disservice to stick him with the same name as the character-less redecos. Scourge is distinct by virtue of having a well-developed character and major role in his franchise. He deserves better than to be reduced to just another “Nemesis Prime”.

 

Nemesis Prime is only a characterless redeco if we let him continue to be one. And at the end of the day, they're all Black Convoys.

 

Nemesis Prime is also an outright stupid name, unworthy of RiD Scourge. And now we’re getting “Nemesis Primal”!  

Why work to turn “Nemesis” into an actual character when Scourge already exists?

 

"Nemesis Prime" works at his best when he's depicted as a representation of Optimus' inner doubts that he eventually conquers and gets over. That one obscure manga from the 2000s got this.

 

You say that as if nearly every transformers name wasn't stupid beyond belief. Hell, Scourge sounds like a name an edgy 12 year old would come up with after going through a dictionary or thesaurus.

 

If the kid put some thought in, sure. The definition is “a person or thing that causes great trouble or suffering.” That certainly fits the RiD character perfectly. It certainly shows more creativity for the evil Optimus redeco than basically calling it “Evil Prime”. Faker from MOTU was better named!

 

The only creativity shown would be not just defaulting to a curse word for the name, it's not that difficult to look up evil sounding words and then just picking the one that sounds like it could be a name. I'm not even trying to argue Nemesis Prime is some creative masterpiece of a name, but acting like Scourge is one is laughable at best in my opinion.

 

A masterpiece, no. Better than Nemesis Prime? Abso-fricking-lutely!

they're definitely of the same tier of quality, both being fairly bland and generic names made to get across the point "evil bad guy" and not much else, the only difference being NP also has the obvious connection with OP to get the idea across that they're similar, either in appearance or origin, though at the cost of being a bit more on the nose.

 

Scourge is just as boring and forgettable as most versions of Nemesis Prime imo.
