probably because it's PVC, right? I don't really follow the statue scene except to be consistently surprised there is a scene for high-priced TF statues....
It's not that big. That's part of why the pricing is as high as it is. The big pricey ones are typically hand-finished, with a worldwide production run of like, 50-100 units.
Sorry, by “big” I meant how frequently and how many different series there been over the years (yet usually pretty much the normal “big 10” or so characters) - and I was including high end “figures” like the 3A stuff that are basically “moving statues” in my thinking…
