Ended up sending a message asking if mine was one with the add on kit, I may cancel if it doesn't. Then just order from that Taobao link.

 

UPDATE:

I did end up buying the non-special edition one so I requested a cancellation and purchased the other one. I haven't goten a response on the cancellation so I may end up selling here on TFW... or returning it.

 

I bought the first version already arrived! I'll wait for update

I saw the parts set on tf direct and came to find any info. Will the kit work with the regular original least class Jetfire? Does it still transform with the new parts? Are they worth $40? I'm thinking of waiting just in case an mpm Jetfire comes out later.

 

The kit is advertised as only being compatible with Dream Factory's figure, and doesn't transform with the new parts. You may be waiting a long time (if ever) for an MPM!

I don't know, I never thought we'd get MPM Lockdown or Hot Rod.

 

Finally received the dream factory jet fire with upgrade kit. Figure feels lighter than the Hasbro but not by much. Electronics work, joints are good, and coloring is much nicer than the original. Once I removed the kibble pieces and added the upgrade parts, I was impressed. This really looks great and will be perfect to add to my MPM shelf. I would recommend for any bay verse fan.

Apologies if it has been covered already, but where is the original arm kibble? Is it attached somewhere else on the figure or is it partsforming?

 

So is there a version of the figure that includes the kit as well or do they have to be purchased separately?

 

Currently there's a box set which includes the figure and the upgrade kit with better paint apps that's limited to a 1000 pieces. And also this separate upgrade kit.

It’s partsforming. The boosters and forearm nose cone pieces pop off. The fanned feather things go in the booster slots and there’s armor to pop on each side of the firearms. It’s easy to put everything back to stock for transformation.
