I admit, he only really looks much like Slingshot in bot mode (or you know, at all) if you squint

Still a good looking BB movie styled Aerialbot.

I had one snap in and one not, and as it sat in alt mode the snapped side loosened. Probably a slight design flaw but I'd like to transform it a couple more times. There's that black square piece inside the leg with a little post in it, I think it's supposed to snap into that but of course you can't see it as you're pushing the pieces together.

The Zeta aerialbots are obviously a better comparison, but I happen to have the original G1 toy so I thought it would just be fun. I plan to post some pics of slingshoot in robot mode next to combined G1 Superion.

OK. Got my Ag4 batteries, and installed on the base light(why blue?)
But cannot get the battery to work in the robot head. One battery seems to not make contact with both sides, and two batteries are simply too big.
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    Thanks.

Edit: nm, I ended up using sr521sw Batts for the head.

Small watch batteries are almost all nigh-identical electrically. Any two that fit, will light up a typical LED. Don't even have to be two of the same ones.

You can measure the opening to figure out which batteries it takes. The ones which have a couple letters followed by numbers are basically telling you the size, shape, and chemistry of the cell - the aforementioned SR521sw batteries would be silver (S), round (R), 5[.8]mm in diameter (5), 2.1mm tall (21), and low drain (sw). I would doubt LED lighting is sensitive enough that the battery chemistry matters so you can ignore the first letter, and can probably ignore the suffixes as well (though a "w" suffix may be brighter due to better current capacity), so if you get a CR521 it will work just fine (for example).

xR251s also matches up with SR31s, AG0s, and 379s (which is a frustrating terminology as it doesn't correspond to the actual battery dimensions - 319s are the same diameter but taller!).

Thanks for all the info, folks! All sorted, now.
But for real, why blue for the base light? Lol

So AG4 for the Base and SR521 for the Head, it that correct so far?

    Is the Head Light working?

Can you make Pictures of it please?

Yes. That's what worked for me, though you could even get away with a smaller battery size for the base. I barely squeezed them in, to the point I was concerned about breaking the frame.

So far, even with the included spudger, and a screwdriver, I have been unable to pry the combiner peg out successfully.
I may go at it with a pair of pliers later, but it's a bit tough, as the workable area is small, and the landing gear is attached to it.

Maybe I'm being stupid but I have no idea how to mount the plane or robot on my stand. Am I missing something? It doesn't look like the manual.

I think I watched bombusbe's video which helped

I really hope Dream Star make the next one more fun. I almost threw it out the window in frustration.

I feel like we are back in 2011 when 3rd party was afraid to make the face "portraits" too close to the source material. This headsculpt look nothing like Slingshot at all. It is a generic bot who looks closer to Air Raid as far as portraits are concerned.

Otherwise he looks amazing. Just generic amazing.
