so pretty much cang toys = dream star toys. their protos are right next to each other....kinda figured they went together stylistically. even bigger contrast in the way they did their reveals. cang really didn't want us to know what predaking looked like.

Right. These pictures just came from a live stream where a bunch of figures got shown off. DST's Superion and Cang's Predaking were just among thing. Other than both being reimaginings of the characters, I don't see much similarity in DST and Cang, myself. DST has more in common(imo) with GT's stuff. (I have no idea they are connected though, that's purely an observation on my part.) As it is, I can't imagine the Cang Predaking will be collapsing disaster in combined mode. It certainly didn't appear to be so from the pictures at the show and I don't recall seeing anything supporting the full-size combiner in the displays.

And even if it is, the individual figures are so good that I'm not sure I particularly care.  

To remain relevant to DST's Superion, however: I must say I wasn't thinking it would be this big, but I am down for it.

 

They may share designers, but they are two completely different companies. Otherwise Dreamstar would be making up what superion looks like only after they released 3 figures already. Cangtoys/TFC never know wtf their combiner will look like from the start and just figure it out as they go.

 

so its confirmed they aren't the same? just that their protos happen to be in the same place at the same time i guess? Anyway, its a known fact they hadn't finished the design yet when they teased? reminds me of tfc hercules and mmc feral rex days...make it up as you go along and hope it turns out ok. and hey if CY really is made from TFC designers then well i guess the approach hasn't changed. lol

Wow the hand size is totally different (not really too significant) DST Superion has little dainty hands compared to CT Pred's massive claws!
