Diabetes at the speed of sound
Exactly. Still no idea why people think having colors on a plane isn’t realistic.
The current paint scheme looks good and the paint used doesn't look metallic to me.
Because for the most part they don't have too many colors, just grey or camo. I think grey look better with the mecha look DST is going for.
The only colorful military planes I have seen are the ones used in air shows.
Folks gon nit pick at anything
I don't think people feel that paint is unrealistic on these jets. I think they just feel there's no need for this set to be painted up in G1 colors. Would I personally like it? Yeah, but I'm a sucker for G1 homages. Are G1 colors necessary in order for me to appreciate this particular team? Nah.
The verdict is still out on colors of the rest of the team, anyway. Let's just see what happens. Regardless, if these are a roaring success, they might do G1 decos with new headsculpts, who knows?
Plus they look cool in these colour schemes.
It be an issue if it was just grey like Bayverse Decepticons, but it isn't. They're silver with red and black and gold.
G1 colour schemes aren't required just because they're G1 characters. Especially if they're new takes on them.
I would be ok with the tail fins being of a color other than grey or with some colorful drawings like some jets do have.
While I like 1 bot being silver with gold, all of them are going to blend together in a silver and gold blob. All of them being the same color really brings these cool molds down a lot for me. Even bayverse devestator was bright and colorful, and those are the movies people complain about having no color in...
Yellow lightning bolts on an F-16 are so unrealistic...
I do agree with you on that point. The combined image showing such a consistent color scheme across the team is rather dull. I don't care much if it's G1 accurate, but I would like to see some variety and contrast.
Sure those had colour, but so far from the art this doesn't blend into one giant blob, especially with the actual real life colours being more vibrant as seen on the actual painted figure. This is more G1/G2 Devastator rather than Infernocus.
That’s far more bright and colorful than these guys are. These look like grey prototypes with gold and tiny bits of red added on. It’s closer to the TW prototype.
As for blending it into a blob, I mean from far away. There will be almost no difference between them when standing a few feet away. That’s why I never put all my movie Megatrons together, because boy does it look like a mass of grey nothingness when I do.
The real question is...will they have enough ratchets for you?
I hope so, but this looks toooo good for me to nitpick it for dumb reasons like my ratchet addiction! Ratchet joints or not, I will get it.
For your sake I hope that someday, somebody will make a bot where even the fingers are ratcheted...
You do realize all 4 are military jets...And as a matter of fact is up to dream star toys to figure how they want the color scheme for their not silver..
Yep, 4 Military jets that are rarely if ever silver....
True, but toy planes are often silver. Which makes this a really fun, kind of meta nod in my mind.
Doesn’t Matter to me if they are silver since I’ll be painting mine in updated G1 colors
