I don't understand the desire for die cast, especially for a figure that will transform into Superion's arm???? Is this going to combine? If so, there's no way it will work with die cast, I have enough problems with all plastic MP figs.

 

Oh damn, I had liked it too because of the "Bad Drawn Stuff" comment that made me laugh, but I can't leave a thumbs-up on a comment about the movie designs being perfect.

 

Even if the price is $90, it's going to be closer to $120 after shipping to the U.S.

 

Any intel on who designed this? They said they have 10+ years and only a few have that right? TFC, Fansproject, GT (not sure if they have 10 years experience), MMC?

Interested in this set because the combined mode will be a very good display-mate for the Studio OX Superion by Zeta. Maybe I'll slap a label that says "40 years of evolution in design" or something in front of them.

 

I think this is the F4. Unless they changed the bot design for the F16.

You're probably right. Nose looks too pointy for the F4 design, and not pointy enough for the F15.
The missiles on the back also look the same, but head, torso en arms are all different. We'll know soon enough though.

 

Hey look, it’s that Iconic helmet shape he’s supposed to have just more detailed and in the style of the bot mode...unlike slingshot. They should have given him prime ears and a faceplate for the sake of “a new take”.

 

Yeah if the limbs are over 100$ each that will end my interest in the set. I'll stick with my JJ Jet Commander. Superion is just not a huge priority character for me.

 

Hell of an underrated set. I made a set of waterslide labels to add details to the jets, weathered them a bit, and they are looking spectacular.

I'm with you on them being low priority for me. I'm really only interested in these because the jet modes look so friggin' CLEAN.

 

Yeah, I'm very fond of that set as a whole. Even the individual bot modes are "good enough" for my MP aerialbots. Plane modes aren't great, combined mode though, it's honestly the most user friendly figure at that scale I've ever seen! If JJ upgraded all the CWs to that standard I'd buy everyone of them.

This set is really growing on me, but it would have to turn out excellent and affordable. Superion is really the only Autobot Combiner I care about, but they'd have to hit a home run to get me to buy in.
